“Better than we'd hoped, except for no in-room morning coffee.”
The room was clean and quiet, the newly installed ADA shower very good, although while we figured out the hot-cold arrangement, we could not figure out how to increase-decrease the water pressure. On the other side, tho, Oak-Mar does not provide breakfast at all, not even an in-room coffee maker, with the room rental. The motel is combined with a dinner which opens at 8 am. Many travelers are on the road before 8 and certainly do not want to go into a dinner to have breakfast at 8, unable to hit the road before 9 am. But this appears to be their plan, to push people who stay in the motel rooms into the dinner for morning coffee and more.

The Oak Mar is a great location to stay at in Garrett County and Oakland. The staff was great. The room was comfortable and well maintained. The restaurant on-site, 3rd street diner, was nice to grab an easy dinner.
