It was clean, affordable, close to BART station and we could check in late. Staff were lovely and friendly.

The owner family is really passionate, extremely friendly and helpful! Room and bathroom were spacious in terms of bay standards. Plenty of parking and only a 5min walk to BART.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. No meals supplied but there are a couple of close-by convenience stores with hot food, cold drinks, and breakfast supplies. The room had a fridge and microwave to make it practical to prepare simple meals. This is an older motel-style hotel but the rooms have been extensively updated. Much cheaper than in San Francisco but only a few stations away on the BART which is a short walk away, and free buses circulate around Oakland, including to the Amtrak station.

unsafe neighbourhood, we heard sideshows, car races, police chases and gunshots during every night. it was very scary! Lots of homeless people and drug abuse nearby. The lady on the reception barely spoke English, didn’t replied on our messages for late checkin, the younger guy was very friendly though. The room was cleaned once in 4 nights, close to no water pressure in the shower. We found long black hairs all over the quite smelly room, in the bed and the bathroom. We mentioned this to the staff, it was the same even after the one clean up. sheets had holes all over, AC was loud as a Jumbojet. Wouldn’t recommend for foreign travelers, we took an Uber ever day to get into the city, even as public transport is nearby because of the shady surroundings. if you visit from Europe, spend some dollars more to get a motel in Berkeley, the University is 5 minutes away by car, very nice and easy to get into SF. ice machine was charged extra, no restaurants in walking distance.
