Absolutely excellent bed and breakfast, clean, friendly, comfortable

The whole island feels like one big movie location and like stepping back in time also a few decades which for me was amazing. This accommodation provide breakfast also they are friendly in a great location and very helpful as well.

The location is perfect – everything is within easy walking distance. Omelets and all kinds of egg dishes are freshly prepared upon request. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

The house is something out of a movie, so beautiful and full of history. The porch had rocking chairs and loved sitting there with a cup of tea listening to birds and reading books about Martha’s Vinyard history. We were lucky to have breakfast out on the porch before weather changed. Our room was small but had everything we needed, a comfortable bed, the best mattress i slept in a hotel and a very good shower. Loved the decor, we instantly relaxed and felt the peace in that place. Breakfast was so tasty, with choice of boiled eggs, delicious freshly baked muffins and fruit. Special thanks to Omar who looked after us and cooked most delicious scrambled eggs. He has such a calming and reassuring nature. We were caught in the storm from Atlantic which hit the island. Omar was so helpful trying to find out information and call the ferry company for us. We loved the history, charm and beautiful people who make this island so special. Thank you for looking after us.

“Quirky authentic homely experience, not plush.”

A very quirky old house that you need to take as you find it. No curtain to block the sun in our room, just nets which was quite odd. We ended up getting a bedspread to hang over the main window. Lovely porch to relax on and very cute street. Lovely garden to sit in and only 5 mins from the beach and all the shops are restaurants and 8am beach yoga on weekends. Breakfast is food left out in a small kitchen area which has tea and coffee for most of the day (Coffee ran out sometimes). A few bagels and small omelettes (egg cups) most days, which are cold if not just made, and a toaster. Food left out with no cover to keep flies off. Juices and water free all day. Some days they made waffles or scrabbled egg to order which was lovely.

Great location in lovely looking building. Fabulous breakfast, friendly staff and comfortable beds. it was so nice we actually asked to stay one extra night on top of the two we had booked because we enjoyed it so much.

Miscommunication of accommodations. Breakfast was delicious. Property was really clean and landscaping was well kept. Walking distance to beach and downtown area. Location was perfect for not needing a vehicle.

“Great property with a few foibles”

A beautiful property located just off one of the main streets in Oak Bluffs. Easy walking distance from the ferry and to restaurants, shops and the wonderfully named "Reliable Market" supermarket. We had the honeymoon room which has its own small balcony over the entrance porch - a beautiful room! The decor of the whole property is clean, fresh and appealing. Wonderful and very friendly staff. They even let us borrow some folding chairs to take to the beach.

The hosts Omar and Chavel could not have been nicer and accommodating. Very kind and made delicious breakfasts. The almond poppyseed cake that Omar baked was incredible.

“Narraganset house made our trip to MV be terrible and we felt be hurt deeply including our two kids.”

Narragansett house cheated us because when we checked in at night on July 18 we found the rooms was too small and only about 80 square feet,but when we booked the rooms it was said the room was more than 800 square feet. The manager said it was booking.com’ mistake and he don’t know why it happened. He said he would report to his owner. The owner came here and said sorry to us and would charge us for the first night and we could move out of the hotel in the morning on July 19. As we came to MV first time , we have no idea about MV. We booked the rooms based their rooms’ size posted on booking. com. But they are liners . And we had a full schedule on July 19, so we we didn’t know where we could move. At the same time my friend hurt her right foot on July 17 , so it is difficult for us to change to anther hotel. We told the owner that we would think over how to deal with. When we finished our sunset sailing and return the hotel ,it was already 9 pm on July 19. It was impossible for us to move to other hotel. We called the manager and told him I would like to talk about the solution about the problem of room’s size. The manager said the owner had slept and would talk with us at 9:30 tomorrow. We said we would wait for the owner. But in the morning on July 20, we didn’t see the owner until 9:45. Then I saw the manager passed by and We said to him where his owner was. He stopped and pointed to a woman beside him and told us she was the wife of the owner. After we said to her good morning, the lady said to us they provide us the first night free and we didn’t move out on the second day ,so it means we accepted the rooms and they can’t provide the second night free. The lady was not polite and rude because when she talked with us her finger pointed to us and so loudly. Her attitude is unacceptable for any clients. We said what we wanted was that we should be treated fairly, no cheating. We need fair solution and ask her correct the wrong data about the area of the rooms .
