Such a lovely experience, the host was so accommodating and lovely!! She made an amazing tapas dinners for a few of us on the Camino and a beautiful breakfast!! The room and the house was so gorgeous!! It’s a little detour from the Camino route but what a treat for your last night before Santiago!!

“Wonderful hosted stay on the Portuguese Way”

Fantastic atmosphere, and lovely host, Xin. Very welcoming, rooms were quaint and equipped with everything a weary pilgrim could need. It’s a bit off the track (about 1km) but no need to leave once you get there. There were drinks and snacks available on an honesty system, and Xin cooked up a delightful Tapas dinner for us. Don’t worry about the extra distance, as there’s a short cut out the back, that leads you back to the Portuguese Way. We were lucky to be there during a village celebration, and were invited to join for Sardines and traditional folk music - such fun!

The most friendly, caring and attentive hosts you could ask for! 💞 Our first Pilgrim's dinner on the Portuguese route on our last evening - it was so delicious and the hosts created a wonderful community feel. Followed by a fabulous breakfast in the morning. Our room was sparkling clean and comfortable. The wonderful little touches like proper shampoo and conditioner, earbuds etc... it felt like true rustic luxury!! ✨ Beautiful surroundings. So relaxing and peaceful. We arrived in pouring rain and the fire was on. Heaven!

We had a super nice night in Casa Rural before arriving Santiago in April, The hosts are extremely friendly, and prepared a heartwarming breakfast for us. The rooms are clean and well equipped, they also have mini bar and living room with fireplace.

Beautiful peaceful stylish place. The room was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The dining room and sitting area with fire lit on a cold evening were very atmospheric and authentic.The hosts are so lovely, incredibly generous, and made us a really delicious meal with plenty of fresh vegetables. This was the best place we stayed while walking the Camino.

I had high expectations having read the previous reviews, and it truly was exceptional. A lovely place, where I was made to feel very welcome. The hosts were fantastic and food fantastic, and other guests very friendly and easy to chat with too. I 100% recommend.

We were treated like family, by far the best experience we had staying during the Camino. The hosts are amazing people very willing to help and care for you. I fully recommend this place!

This is an exceptional place, truly the best we had on our Camino. It is at a slight divergence from the Camino route but well worth that little extra walk, you will not regret staying here. Diego and Xin are amazing hosts, we felt welcomed and well looked after from the moment we arrived to when we left; they really are exceptional hosts. The room was beautiful and immaculate, the bed sheets were crispy clean and fresh, the shower was hot and lovely,the bed was comfortable and cosy . Xin has a beautiful warm smile and such a kind person; she would go out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and happy. She even did my washing to help me out and she wouldn't charge me for it. She is a remarkable cook too,, she made a lovely meal for all the quests and we all enjoyed our dinner in a friendly cosey atmosphere; Diego lit the log fire and looked after every one. They also provided selection s of wine beer soft drinks crisps snacks etc ; even provided bottled drinking water at no extra charge. What else does any one want from a host and a place . Big thank you to Xin and wonderful Diego. I shall definitely be coming back again.

This is a wonderful place to stay! Diego and Xin make extra efforts to ensure we had a great stay. We were given an excellent recommendation for a place to eat lunch. Complimentary dinner, followed by roasted chestnuts from their fireplace. A great breakfast to prepare for a day's Camino walking. Not far from the Camino trail, and Diego and Xin will show you a shortcut to get you back. Highly recommended.

Host Xin is a pocket rocket, and made sure we were comfortable from the outset. She even upgraded us to the cottage as we were the only guests there that night. The tapas dinner was excellent, and so was the breakfast the next morning. It is less than a kilometre from the Camino Portuguese, so excellent place to stay if you want a shorter walk to finish on your last day.

Tranquil; warm & kind hosts. Lovely tasty dinner & breakfast. A perfect Galician village to stay 16 kms before Santiago de Compostela & the bustle of the city.

It was a lovely, relaxing stay in a small village and a very authentic rural Spanish experience. Xin and Diego were amazing hosts and went out of their way to make this a special experience for us and other guests. They provided a wonderful dinner for all guests which added so much to the experience. I would highly recommend this to any travellers, and suggest any Camino pilgrims take the walk 1km off the trail to experience this before your final stage into SDC. Xin will guide you back to thrill which is easy and short. Stay here if you can!
