Song of Travel Hostel is situated in Nyaung Shwe, 1 km from Mingala Market and 5 minutes' walk from Nyaung Shwe Bus Station. It features a rooftop lounging area where guests can enjoy cocktails. Rooms are air-conditioned and guests have access to a shared bathroom. Dormitory-style rooms provide a privacy curtain, a personal reading light and an electrical socket. I loved being treated like family at SOT - from the messages I exchanged with Fiona the owner, to the care and help to book bus tickets, a boat trip and a private driver to the hotpools and Kalaw. Shwe the manager is super friendly and helpful, along with the whole staff there. The food was great, alot of Korean meals. I must have eaten half my meals there! I also ate local breakfasts thanks to Shwe, which I loved. My dorm bed was super clean and spacious - bathrooms are clean and plentiful. Love the rooftop which catches beautiful sunrises and sunsets, cool breezes and great views. Free bikes allowed me to roam Nyaung Shwe easily. There's the Red Mountain winery nearby, which has great views and a stunning sunset. Jesu ba for a wonderful first time visit to Inle! I will be back in July with my son and 2 friends!
