“Wonderful Stay with Wonderful people!”

This was the perfect "welcome to Sri Lanka experience". The hosts were the nicest, most accommodating and lovely people imaginable. Stunning views, clean and comfortable room and a short walk into the city centre while also being far enough to not be bothered by any noise at all. Lovely greeting with tea and delicious cake and the hosts were incredibly helpful in organizing the transfer to our next location as a tea estate and waterfall tour along the way.

“Great view and caring host”

The view from the accommodation was beautiful. The rooms are simple but very clean. The best part is the host. She took great care of us and organized a wonderful tour. She also gave us very helpful tips about using public transportation. We would definitely come back again.

We felt so much like home at Zion. The family took care of us very well from the beginning till the last moment we checked out. They were so helpful, and shared some tips with us about the region. Nuwara Eliya gets cold in the evenings, so Ann gave us an additional blanket as well. 😊 We also had a wonderful breakfast! Thank you so much!

I had a wonderful stay at Zion in Nuwara Eliya. The place is very clean and peaceful, which made it perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The couple who own the property are incredibly kind and welcoming, they made I feel at home from the moment I arrived. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

“Three nights in beautiful Nuwara Eliya in a great guesthouse.”

Ann and her lovely family looked after us and made us feel very welcome . Ann is a skilled cook and we enjoyed two Sri Lanka breakfasts during our stay . There is an amazing view from the room and balcony of the city below and surrounding hills and countryside. The room was very comfy with a good bathroom.

This is the place to stay - we were so glad we booked us in here, because of the location and especially the wonderful couple running the place. Having this beautiful view and still such a short walk to the city is special, with a rooftop terrace to enjoy the sun the whole day. We were taken very good care of by the owners, washing our clothes and offering authentic breakfast. Cozy and beautiful place we would book again if we come back! Recommend this place to everyone at any age. 15 year old Max (their dog) welcomed us every day!

This place is amazing, the food is wonderful, and the family is fantastic. Anne is the kindest and most caring person we have ever met. Thank you for the cooking classes and for everything, we will definitely be back!

“Amazing people, nice room!”

The hostess and family were so nice and friendly. They want to help you with everything and are amazing. We had a very nice breakfast and when I got unwell they did everything they could do to help. The room is nice and big, nice bathroom, very clean and nice bed! And they have two dogs!!!

“Short stay in nuwara eliya filled with warmth and care.”

The incredible warm hosts and the location of place in the valley. It was so fun to walk down to the city from the property using the shortcut that locals use on a daily basis. The place was squeaky clean and the owners were always so helpful that it felt like staying with family. It was the owners suggestion that helped us catch the Ambewela to Ella train. We didn’t know about it. Please do interact with them and get more tips.

Amazing view and the room was very clean! The owners where such beautiful people they made us feel so comfortable and were so accomodating always asking if we needed anything, location was great not too far from city centre and the views are just 10/10.

“A solid choice for a couple of nights”

Ann was absolutely wonderful and so kind. She gave us some lovely tea on arrival and organised a good tuk tuk tour for us at a reasonable price. She was so great about offering us more blankets or umbrellas or whatever we needed for our excursions. There’s a few great restaurants nearby and a great coffee place within 5/10 mins walking. Despite what other reviews said, we found it really easy to get tuk tuks and taxis up here and they could get up the hill no problem. The room itself was clean and comfy, there was a lovely view and the shower was strong and hot! The WiFi worked very very well. I thought it was good value for money and a great place to stay for a couple of nights.

“A must in Nuwara Eliya”

Everything! Our stay at Zion was perfect. The rooms are immaculately clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed for 3 nights. The location is great, just outside the city which means you get peace and quiet, but it is only a short walk into the city so everything is within reach. The best thing about Zion is the family thay run it, Ann and her husband are the loveliest people you could wish to meet. We ate nearly all of our meals there, Ann's cooking is exceptional. She looked after us when we both felt like we were coming down with a cold. Cannot recommend this place enough if staying in Nuwara Eliya. It was like staying with family.

“Good place to stay”

Hosts were exceptional, very helpful in every way possible especially when speaking to drivers who couldn't find their location. Everything was perfect with the accommodation, multi plug adaptor as far .as we could see fitting every standard, kettle and cups in room - no tea/coffee but you can purchase for a price. One thing to note for guests..we went through booking.com and payment was clearly stated to pay hosts in dollars..they prefer larger denomination of notes of USD 20 notes up...we didn't have these but was no problem as they gave us change back in smaller $`s from the big notes we had. Highly recommend this Homestay, but at night get a vehicle to get you back.

The owner was amazing. She was so nice and helpful with anything we needed. She cooks the best Sri Lankan food we ate in our trip. The rooms are big with hot shower. It is a little bit far from the city Center but there is a short cut which makes it only 10 minutes of walk to the city centre. If you’re in Nuwara Eliya you must stay in Zion guesthouse.
