“Excellent stay and Amazing Staff”

“Fake 24/7 Service, Real 2 AM Noise”

Beware if you look for a quiet place! We went in our honeymoon, and we could not even sleep 5 hours. We had extremely load noise (+50db) from the afternoon until 2am! Not only that day, next day I tried to have a nap and back a terrible noise from street speakers. They did not warn us of any public event, but that is not the only problem, they do not attend and help you. You will find yourself alone at night, with a fake 24/7 service answering... never. Then we found another number and they finally answered 30 minutes later. No solution, not earplugs, nothing. Be careful because they will not try to solve it and of course compensate in any way. Worst hotel from 9 hotels in the full honeymoon. Never coming back.

Our stay at Bellwood Manor was nothing short of exceptional — a true hidden gem that perfectly captures the magic and tranquillity of Sri Lanka. Each meal felt like a special occasion, enjoyed in an incredible setting that only adds to the overall experience. “Bad value, good hotel. To expensive for what it offers.”

Beautiful hotel, good hotel rooms. Good massage when we first were doing check-in. Property has both positives and negatives (will write more details below). 1 hr free in Spa (sauna/pool). Snooker table. Tasty breakfast.

Really nice hotel with friendly and very helpful staff. Dinner was amazing 6 course meal, with the chef explaining each course. Breakfast was also great. We enjoyed using the sauna and plunge pool too.

We booked a deluxe king room which was very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was on the small side, with not much space for your own toiletries, however it was well appointed and all spotlessly clean. The staff were so friendly and attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. The location was excellent with lovely views to the gardens and hills. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, wonderful menu choices and very well presented. A very comfortable and luxurious boutique hotel.

Amazing staff, amazing food, lovely property with lots of nice areas to relax. Great walkable location for town, lake, race course and to Single Tree Hill. It would be very hard not to like this property - we stay in a lot of hotels and this is boutique quality.
