It is a very cute house which builded in 1920, and it keep very good condition, and clean, he owner are very friendly, and welling to he.p guest, and the breakfast is very good, I recommend this hostel,

The host was super helpful with organising our stay and organising tuktuk the next day, both breakfast and dinner were delicious and the host was really friendly and accommodating!

Perfect host, good size room, fantastic breakfast / dinner and a 5 min tuktuk from the centre of NE. Great location to Lover's Leap waterfall and Pedro Tea factory. Expectations were exceeded!

Everything was perfect! The host was very kind and helpful, and had a strong sense of hospitality. The room was clean and big enough with a hot shower. I received a free pickup from the bus station and a tour of Nuwara Eliya, including a visit of a tea factory (for an extra cost). For a fair price, the host also organized my trip to Horton Plains National Park and dropped me off at Ambewela Station. I highly recommend this place. Thank you so much for the stay.😊

“Nice stay”

I had a a great stay at Ruchi House! The hosts were super nice and reacted very quickly via what’s app! The breakfast was amazing and a lot! You will for sure have a solid base for hiking! I also had a huge Kottu for a fair price which was very tasty. The rooms are spacious. I didn’t freeze during the night as I had very thick duvets. They also offer slippers for the shower so you won’t have to walk on the wet blood and slippers so you feet won’t get cold!

We loved everything about this property. A quaint 150 year old English house, with only a couple of rooms. The hosts were extremely friendly and happy for a chat. The breakfast was delicious, and the Chicken Kottu we had for dinner was the best so far. They were also very helpful and had a tuk tuk if you needed a ride anywhere, for a fee. Our room was very cosy and had the most comfortable bed, with lovely smelling linen. Only a short walk into the town centre. We couldn't recommend this place highly enough, it was amazing!

The house was cute and very clean, one of the the best hospitality experiences we had so far in Sri Lanka. I wish i could spend more time there. If you want to find a nice place to stay in Nuwara Eliya thats the one.

“Perfect homestay - clean and comfortable”

Absolutely perfect homestay with the kindest hosts who went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay . Great value for money. We were picked up from the train station by Tuktuk, which was greatly appreciated since our train was delayed and we arrived late at night. We also got a ride to the bus station on our last day with helpful tips on which bus to take. The room and house were exceptionally clean, and homely. The breakfast was great, as were the dinner options (we ate in each night). Overall we could not recommend enough - 10/10 and would happily stay again! Thank you!

“A fantastic place to stay”

We absolutely loved our stay at Ruchi house. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and our hosts were just the loveliest, kindest people you could ever wish to meet. Our room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the bedding had a really lovely smell. Our breakfast each day was very good and the evening meals were just wonderful- freshly cooked and so delicious. We chose to go on a trip to Ramboda Falls and a tea factory with our host and we had a great time- well worth the money.

“The perfect home stay”

Our stay at Ruchi House was perfect Sanjeewa and his wife really care and arranged transport and provided us with delicious meals. Super clean and nothing is too much trouble, taking us to the station to catch early in the morning, and still providing a lovely breakfast,

Only stayed one night, dinner was delicious and they packed me a breakfast for early start to catch train.

Outstanding! Extremly friendly hosts, they even prepared a cake and a surprise for our son's birthday. The dinner was delicious and the portions huge! Also the breakfast was great! The room was impeccably clean. At the evening we walked around 30 minutes up the hill to the waterfall and we really liked it.
