A quirky little spot at the south of the lake, with good eating locations nearby and a 30 minute walk (5 min drive) to the centre of town. The accomodation itself is quite basic, but comfortable and good value with lovely hosts. RC was super helpful and really accommodating in driving us to various locations and helping with train logistics and recommendations for dining. Lovely breakfast, and while we didn’t stay in the timber house, it looks very cool.

One of the best homestay experiences I’ve ever had. Rajith is an amazing host who truly makes you feel at home once you meet him, very kind, welcoming and happy to help with anything. The place is very comfy and quiet, and I also enjoyed breakfasts prepared by his family. Too bad I only booked a few nights and had to go. Definitely recommend this place and hopefully will return.

I liked it from the start to the end From our first interaction with the owner Rajith to the very end, when he dropped us out He is something special and a type if guy, with whom you could easily get to be friends with. When he picked us up at the railway station near Nuwara Eliya, he immediately started showing us the tea fields along the way and also gave us great fun facts and information I think we “clicked” right away During the stay, we felt at all times very welcome and Rajith made sure of it. I would greatly recommend also, if you need to get to Kandy, because he knows some great spots and can provide you the best option for tea factory visit to your liking. What a great person he is and his family. I can only praise our time here

Everything was absolutely amazing! Even though I accidentally booked two rooms for fewer people than we actually were, the host handled everything with kindness and there were no issues at all. We stayed in very cozy two-bedroom apartments with a small kitchen area, which was perfect for our family. The breakfasts were delicious, and the hotel is run by a lovely family. Rajith’s hospitality was truly exceptional, and the location is beautiful and convenient. Most importantly — the place was extremely clean, with warm blankets and cozy throws that made our stay very comfortable in Nuwara Eliya’s chilly weather. Thank you so much, Rajith! We’ve stayed already the second time in Rajith’s home. Last year we came for three nights as we visited some relatives of my husband nearby. We liked this place so much that we came back this year. It was again a very comfortable stay. We like the clean and comfortable rooms and the friendly family. Rajith is always very helpful and his sister made a very yummy breakfast for us which we could enjoy every morning in the garden in the sun. In the nighttime it’s getting cold, but that’s normal in Nuwaraeliya. Thank you so much Rajith and your family for the lovely stay. We hope to come back soon😊

The hosts were absolutely wonderful – very caring, warm, and attentive. When I had a stomach ache, they even gave me drops to help, which I really appreciated. They were also very friendly and talkative, helped us with our luggage, and arranged a driver to take us to the train. The breakfast was excellent and very generous – definitely one of the highlights of our stay.

Rajith and his family were so welcoming and helpful. The room was immaculate and the bathroom was great. He gave us some great recommendations for Nuwara Eliya and also gave us a lift to Ambewela to the train station in the morning. Breakfast for was lovely and homemade and they even did breakfast early for us.

The place was very clean and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing stay. Rajith is a wonderful host – kind, caring, and always there if you need anything. He gave me great local recommendations and really made me feel welcome. I truly enjoyed my stay and felt very comfortable. I’m especially grateful that his sister kindly prepared breakfast for me at 6:30 in the morning, as I had to leave early. Such a thoughtful and warm gesture. Highly recommended.

Very nice place! Rajith and his family are very friendly and welcoming. Although the place is outside the city centre, it is a nice walk around the lake to get there. Breakfast was delicious!

The location is perfect for sightseeing. The house itself matches the vibe of Gregory Lake and Park.

⭐⭐ One of the kindest hosts in Sri Lanka! ⭐⭐ Our host was absolutely amazing — a truly good-hearted person with a heart of gold. He even paid for our tuk-tuk ride to his place, brought us food and water late at night, and made sure we were comfortable in every possible way. The room was spotless, the water was hot, and the bathroom looked brand new. There was also a small kitchen area outside the room where we could make tea — everything was just perfect! In the morning, he even let us stay in his beautiful hut until the rain stopped and arranged a driver for us. His energy was so warm and positive — one of those people who instantly make you feel at home. Honestly, I could go on forever with the compliments. Highly recommended — sometimes the host is even more important than the room, and in this case, he truly made all the difference.
