“Cute homestay with great view and lovely owners.”

We were very warm welcomed by the owners who gave us reasonable advices on what to do during our stay. The view was great and we liked the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. For colder Nights in Nuwara, there are also heating matrasses in the bedroom that are very comfortabel.

“Cozy place and nice staff”

Very cozy room and confortable bed. Very good breakfast and very kind staff. The second floor of the room was a bit crooked, but it was okay to spend 1 night. We initially booked 2 rooms and finally decided to use only 1 room for the night. The staff was kind enough to allow us to pay half the price of the second room we booked but didn’t use.

The property was lovey with gorgeous views. Sam and Prince were very accommodating hosts always ready with recommendations for us. Tea upon arrival was a nice touch. The rooms were very comfortable and the electric blankets were greatly appreciated amidst the cold, rainy weather! Highly recommend 😊

The place was a little bit up in the mountain, but it was easy to walk to the city. The staff was very friendly. They also prepared breakfast for us to bring when we had an early morning the next day.

“Nice place for at least 2 night is you can”

Very helpful staff (Sam & Akram), including the owner (Prince). Amazing breakfast if you like a long breakfast time. The location is a bit far from the city centre, although manageable by tuk-tuk. The room is also amazing and feels like a cabin - proper hot shower and bed warmer included. You can spend time in the common room and enjoy the fireplace, though perhaps not too late at night, since they switch off the lights after 10 or 11 PM.

The host and staff at The Pigeon’s Nest were incredibly helpful and welcoming. They were always happy to assist with anything we needed and made us feel genuinely at ease throughout our stay. The rooms are very open and airy, with a lovely connection to the surrounding nature, which really added to the experience. Despite feeling peaceful and tucked away, the location is excellent - it’s only about a 10-minute walk into town, making it easy to explore while still enjoying a quiet place to relax. Overall, a comfortable stay with great hospitality in a convenient yet tranquil setting. Also, the breakfast was delicious! We’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The hospitality and the warmth given by the owner. We were treated like one of the family.

It was a very cosy hotel. Nuwara Eliya is much colder than other places, so we especially liked the communal living room with a fire place in the evening. We also liked the huge bed that was very comfortable. The owner and his sons were very friendly.
