Very good position to walk in the tea plantations. Perfect for a night or two only as not much to do. The staff were exceptional and the food delicious. The chef was great. Fantastic pillows at last and very nice room with heating as was cold!

the hotel has a wonderful history and is very well preserved and maintained for the period of the building. Garden and the decor are lovely. We really enjoyed the original gigantic bathrooms and the wonderful bedrooms.

“The Perfect Haven to enjoy a quiet break”

The two of us spent three nights at Oliphant Boutique Villa. We had a superb time with exceptional care being taken by all staff. We had an excellent well-appointed room to ourselves. The room was well heated in the chill weather we encountered. The food was again very good - both breakfast and dinner - we enjoyed during our stay. The Villa is situated in a large property, the erstwhile Oliphant tea estate, so one can walk around or bask in the sun. It is a very quiet place.

The staff and service were very attentive and proud of their service. The food was excellent. The room very spacious and gardens very pretty. But as the weather was a little cooler and misty high up in the mountains, we couldn't eat outside in the gardens, but the dining room with the fire was still lovely

Beautiful peaceful location out of town, beside the highest village in Sri Lanka. Surrounded by tea plantations and other small cultivations, and inside the grounds is a perfectly tended garden and very professional welcome from the small team. Short walks available to a viewpoint amongst the tea. Room and bathroom both spacious and as in the photos. Dinner and breakfast both delicious. The banana bread in particular! No problem to order us a taxi to go to the station the next morning too. More expensive than the average accommodation, but certainly value for money compared to other similar high-end “boutique” accommodations in Sri Lanka (which can start at $900 per night - and I’m not sure the extra butler would be worth the difference!)
