“Scammers!”

After the confirmation they sent me a simple message (I consider myself lucky as I checked my emails, otherwise I would have had no booking by the evening with a baby spending a chilling night in a vehicle) asking me to cancel as they are fully booked. they listed their property as non refundable and if I cancel I have to pay in full amount for the first night. I had to call and write to booking.com customer service and go through a troublesome process to cancel the booking without a charge while it wasn't my fault that I had to cancel it by myself. Worst part is they never answered their listed number, neither my calls nor booking.com customer service attempts to contact the property. Thank you booking.com team for getting me out of the trouble. Ps: I later on learnt that they were accepting walk-in customers at a 3X price since it was a long weekend and Nuwara Eliya ran out of available stay options. So I believe this is or this will be a common practice to fish more walk-in customers at exorbitant prices. this was the first for me on booking.com.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at the Lake Infinity Penthouse in Nuwara Eliya. The property is perfect for a family, spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained. The views were lovely and the atmosphere was peaceful, making it a relaxing place for everyone. The staffs were incredibly welcoming and helpful. A special thanks to Kumari, for assisting us throughout our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. She was very kind and great service! Our kids also had a great time, and the overall experience was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay in Nuwara Eliya!
