“Awesome place”

We had an amazing stay at La Grande Villa in Nuwara Eliya. The property is peaceful, private, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The service was outstanding throughout our stay, and the food was delicious. The full-board package offered excellent value for money and was definitely worth it. A special mention goes to Mr. Marikkar, the caretaker, whose hospitality, attentiveness, and professionalism made our stay even more enjoyable. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was comfortable for us. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm and memorable stay in Nuwara Eliya!

Well maintained, clean and beautiful.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Michael and Dhuminda went absolutely above and beyond for us at every turn, allowing us to store our luggage and check in early. Stunning grounds, beautiful interiors, rooms were large, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Fabulous breakfast also, could not recommend highly enough. Short 10-15 min walk to the town centre, also easy to get a tuk tuk if necessary.

Excellent location, very friendly staff, pretty gardens with a nice room terrace, the Sri Lankan breakfast is delicious, and we got a great offer so excellent value.

Everything about this place felt like stepping into a perfectly preserved memory from our last visit 5 years ago. The interiors are still stunning, polished to quiet perfection, and every corner feels thoughtfully cared for. The bathroom and jacuzzi deserve their own standing ovation—elegant, indulgent, and just the right kind of escape. Outside, the surroundings were just as charming, soft and serene. And breakfast? Generous, delicious, and deeply satisfying… We would love to return again with family!

Very nice, rustic hotel, with all the facilities needed for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, even an hydro-massage bathtub and the most cosy bed!! Located in a beautiful area, near the center of the town. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious!!! I strongly reccomend!!!

The staff were amazing from the time we arrived till the time we left with a friendly wave good by. Michael Hotel Manager addressed all our needs and set up with his beautiful staff a morning breakfast for 2 in the garden lawns. The breakfast food was more than we could eat - 5 stars to La Grande Villa

“This hotel is a perfect little hidden gem!”

The hosts were approachable, chatty and very accommodating. We arrived in the evening so had dinner in the restaurant which was lovely (could do with some music as it was super quiet). The bedroom was spacious and comfortable with a small patio and hanging egg chairs looking over the colorful garden. The hotel decor is very traditional (dark wood, patterned furnishings etc.) so very different to your modern overnight stay which made a nice change. We left early in the morning so ordered breakfast to go which was super easy! We wish we had more time to enjoy the hotel in terms of the inside space (pool table, chill area) and gardens.

La Grande Villa is a fabulous “little England” style property that makes you feel like a family member. The family room is so spacious and beautifully decorated. Jacuzzi in the bathroom is a perfect relaxing spot. Staff is so welcoming, kind and ready to make your stay memorable. We have to mention the food - we had one of our best dinners in Sri Lanka there - all freshly prepared, so tasty. Be aware of huge quantities!

Location is terrific, food was very tasty. Large room, neat garden. Breakfast in the garden was a great way to start the day. The staff is the kindest, most attentive and hilarious. They do the effort to make you feel at home, cater to your requests and are open to hear your feedback.

Like almost everything .Great building and classic decor. Lovely staff ,especially Michael, who went overboard to be helpful. Packed us a picnic lunch when we left very early to go on a bird walk.
