Kent Cottage was a completely different experience, but exactly what we expected when we made the booking. Staying here truly felt like being in a cozy countryside cottage somewhere in the UK. The staff was just as we hoped — warm, caring, and genuinely attentive. They looked after us very well, helped us with food recommendations at the lovely pub across the road, and even offered to cook something for us if we wanted. The room was absolutely beautiful — really stunning. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom had all the facilities we could possibly need. For breakfast, you simply agree on a time with them, and they prepare everything fresh for you, including the food, coffee, and tea — a very nice and personal touch. The night was a bit chilly, but we were given a heater and warmed up the room before going to sleep, which made everything very comfortable. Kent Cottage is a little outside the city, but you definitely won’t regret staying here. It’s something different, truly unique, and incredibly relaxing. For us, it was a total disconnect from the chaos and busy atmosphere of Sri Lanka — in the best possible way.
