We stayed here for 6 nights and it was amazing! The room is really beautiful and has it’s own balcony, nice big windows with wonderful view, kettle. Dinosha cooks super tasty breakfast and dinner. She is so kind, she helped us to book bus tickets and even gave some snacks for the long road to the airport 🥹 Also the host’s family has beautiful dog Teddy 🤍

“Peaceful and comfortable stay with exceptional hospitality”

We stayed at Golden King Guest Room for 3 days (8–11 December 2025), and it was a wonderful experience overall. The stay was excellent, and the hosts made sure we were comfortable at all times. The room was very nice, clean, and offered a beautiful view. The entire area is extremely peaceful, silent, and close to nature—perfect for a relaxing getaway. What made our stay truly special was the hospitality of Mr. Uday and Dinosha. This was shortly after a devastating cyclone, yet they went out of their way to ensure we could still travel safely to Ramboda and enjoy sightseeing, including a visit to the tea factory, which was a fantastic experience. Their support and care during this time were truly commendable. The food served was top-notch, and the hospitality throughout our stay was excellent. The location is also convenient—about an 800-meter downhill walk to the market and town center. I would definitely recommend staying here. If possible, book the sightseeing tour through the host—they take extra care and truly showcase the real Sri Lanka.

“Good guesthouse above Nuwara Elliya”

Nice guesthouse above Nuwara Elliya. Bit far from centre, but that gives you calm, quiet location. Room was okay, but had amazing - beautiful common room. And one night we were only guests, so could hang out there. One morning we need to leave early, so they managed early breakfast for us.

Thank you so much for the stay! We got caught in the storm but you helped us so much during it, we’re so thankful! Really good food, supernice family and good room!

Our hosts were very kind and welcoming. Upon our arrival, they offered us a cup of tea. They suggested organizing visits to waterfalls and tea plantations, and also made sure that we enjoyed our stay at their guest house, taking care of every need. Highly recommended.

“Warm and peaceful stay with good amenities”

The stay was very clean and warm. The host Dinasha was very helpful and guiding. Although the area was very cold, we were provided with enough blankets and comforters to keep ourselves warm. It is a good place to dine-in. The tea prepared by our host is very good. We loved the little host teddy, very friendly and joyful, such a cute pet. Wifi was working fine. Overall it is a highly recommended stay for a peaceful and warm stay.

Family run, the host is so welcoming! The room was very clean, cosy duvets are provided, all teh food from breakfast to dinner was all very tasty. I will 100% be staying again.

We had a lovely stay at this cozy homestay in Nuwara Eliya. The hosts were incredibly hospitable—welcoming us with delicious masala chai and cookies. They offered to upgrade our room, and the shared lounge area was both grand and inviting. Breakfast was delightful every day, and the sweetest gesture was on our last morning when they thoughtfully packed sandwiches and a variety of breakfast items for our early train ride to Ella. Truly a memorable experience!

We had a very pleasant stay. The suggestions they gave us were really helpful. The breakfasts were generous and delicious, and the room met all our needs.

We stayed 3 nights at Golden King Guest and we enjoyed our stay here very much. Dinosha was very welcoming and gave us local tips and recommended places to visit around Nuwara Eliya. She also helped us arrange tuktuk transport when we needed it. We had dinner two days and breakfast one day in the Guesthouse and it was delicious. Overall, we are very happy with our experience here and would repeat for sure!

Location was nice, only 20 minutes walk to the city centre by shortcut. They arranged us tuktuk driver for the day and also to get us to the train station. Breakfast was really good. The owner was really kind and always active on WhatsApp to communicate, if she wasn’t at the property.
