The rooms & place was absolutely faultless. The rooms were huge with the most incredible views. Everything was spotless and we had everything we needed.

Lovely alpine building which would not be out of place in Switzerland but surprising here. Large clean room with balcony and over down across tea cultivating area. Breakfast excellent.

Loved the room and the very comfortable bed and thick duvets!! There was an unbeatable mountain view from the balcony. The property was about a 10 min tuktuk ride from the Old Post Office in Nuwara Eliya. Sasmi who greeted us when we arrived was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. The chef was also lovely and the tuk tuk driver who they arranged to take us down and back to Nuwara Eliya (Indu) was absolutely fantastic! Overall the experience was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Location, view

The room we were staying in was nice, with a nice shower, comfortable bed and nice view; a welcoming place with an old-fashioned style. Both dinner and breakfast are both good (also possibly the only choice if you don't want to head back to town). Very friendly staff with whom we had a few chats as he spoke very good Italian

Good quality and spacious rooms - very comfortable large double beds & modern bathrooms. Very clean. The staff were sweet and helpful and put us in touch with a driver who helped us get around. The breakfasts were good.

“Perfect and very cosy stay in NE”

I absolutely loved Cottage San Francesco. I had only booked for one night and extended my stay because of how much I enjoyed it. I spent quite a long time researching hotels in the area before booking this one, but genuinely don’t waste your time looking elsewhere and get this one booked - it is wonderful! The beds are so premium and luxurious and comfortable that getting out of them to go and see NE was very difficult indeed! But the excellent breakfast and warm smiles of the people working there made it a bit easier to finally get out of bed! Everything in the room was super clean and comfortable and my mountain views were outstanding. The hosts are so so kind and extremely helpful. Every question I asked was met with quick and informative answers. They even checked in during the day to check I was doing ok and having a good time. I read some comments that mentioned the location being a little far out, but actually for visiting the nicest tea plantations (Damro and Blueview) it is very well placed. It is also not too far from the town at all and the location means that it benefits from the amazing views that it has. Will only stay here when I return to the area.

Had a very good time in Cottage San francesco. Without a doubt the best stay of our Sri Lanka trip. Special thanks to the Asitha and his team who made the stay memorable. A big shout out to Sandishkar who was available for every request. The rooms were spacious and clean. The property is well maintained with a fantastic view of the valley. The breakfast was excellent with a wide spread. We also had dinner which was freshly prepared and served. Overall a very serene, peaceful stay. Would highly recommend this stay if you visit Nuwara Eliya. Excellent property, Great food! Great Service and Fantastic people! All the best!

“Beautiful view from Cottage San Francesco”

We had a very good stay at Cottage San Francesco! The room was very beautiful, big comfortable bed, amazing view from the balcony, and a lot space!! The staff was also very kind, helpful and friendly! We stayed here for two nights and we got different breakfast served for the two days. The breakfast was completely fine and definitely enough! It is somewhat out of the city, so your own tuktuk is very useful, or uber/taxi/pickme would be great to use! Very great stay at the cottage!!
