Hosts Valentina and Carlos were so friendly, helpful and welcoming! They booked incredible tours for us (whale watching and night time jungle walk) and even helped me learn some Spanish!! Very peaceful place and good vibes! Only a 5/10 minute walk from Termales. Loved the location in the jungle and by the beach! Can't recommend this place more!! I hope to visit again!!

La Aldea… It’s really hard to describe this place. A hidden gem in the middle of la selva—full of hummingbirds, crabs, butterflies, and the most amazing trees and plants. Every hour brings a different kind of beauty, and I especially loved the moments when it rained, and right after. The place is isolated; to reach the village you need to cross two rivers, always checking the tide. I stayed 6 nights in the shared bedroom, with the bathroom outside, and it truly felt like a jungle experience. What made it even more special were Valentina and Carlos—so thoughtful, welcoming, and genuinely lovely hosts. And for me personally, La Aldea became the place where I found myself doing things I never imagined—like crossing the rivers at night alone. So I definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a unique Pacific experience.

This place is really Magic ! 🥰 is full connect with the natural you enjoy only the sound of the natural and also Carlos and Valentina are great! Fantastic place in the djungle next to the beach. Beware, if you are the comfy type use to typical western hotels this is something different. To enjoy this place you should be open minded, a bit adventurous and enjoy nature! The place is very simple and you share your hut with bats in the night. To get to the place you need to go before the tide comes in or you risk of having to do a bit of swimming to cross the river. In daytime it's an easy walk. It's only about 10 minutes from the town and close to the beach. Valentina and Carlos who run the place are super nice and friendly. If you are up for a djungle-like experience in nature I definitely recommend!

“Magical”

We had such a lovely stay, this place is absolutely magical. Such a special place on the edge of this beautiful little village and the walk through the river, up the stream and into the jungle made it even more magical. A beautiful cabin, (the photos do not do it justice) and a shower under the stars. Valentina, the host, is so kind and welcoming, she made us feel so at home. Could not recommend this place more if you want simple living off the beaten track. Wish we could have stayed longer!
