“Stunning Views, Disappointing Host”
Irana has a privileged location that sets it apart from the other ecolodges in the area. The rooms are right in front of the ocean, and the sound of the waves accompanies you every night — something we really enjoyed while sleeping (though worth mentioning for those who are sensitive to nighttime sounds). Food was one of the highlights of our stay: Rubiela has an exceptional touch in the kitchen and the portions are more than generous. Despite having tuna every day, she managed to give it a different spin each time. A detail we loved was that every night the rooms were scented with palo santo smoke to keep mosquitoes and insects away. The outdoor showers add that adventurous touch to the whole experience. It was an authentic and memorable stay.

“Unforgettable and very authentic stay far away from zivilisation at a peaceful and beautfiul hotel”
We loved the unbelievably serene and peaceful location of this hotel in the middle of nowhere in between the lush rainforest and the beautiful pacific coast. The owners are very nice and helpful and all our needs were met. We were able to plan our days very spontaneously and did two whale tours and one hike in the jungle. All experiences were incredible. We've seen so many whales during the whale tour. It was an unforgettable experience. The food was also very good and they also made an effort to provide vegetarian dishes for me which I appreciated a lot.

“An experience that greatly exceeded our expectations!”
Our stay at Irana greatly exceeded our expectations. It is located in the perfect spot for nature activities and to get some rest. The beach in front of the hotel is great. Our villa was very comfortable, the food was DELICIOUS and they accommodated our dietary restrictions without a problem. The hosts Marcela and Esteban are very welcoming and helpful for organizing outings; they were our personal tour guides during our trip and it was greatly appreciated! We will definitely be coming back!!
