I had a wonderful experience at Happy House Nungwi. The hosts provided a warm welcome and offered excellent guidance to my family and me. The accommodation was impeccably clean, tranquil, and conveniently located near the beach. The staff were both kind and supportive, and the presence of the resident cat added to the charming atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place to anyone considering a visit to Nungwi.

We stayed in 5 different accommodations of the same category around Zanzibar, therefore cheap and basic (I was looking for the best value for money). Of all the accommodations this was the best. Excellent value for money, spacious room, possibility of using a shared fridge (working) and also a kitchen (never used), very good cleaning of the room and common areas in general, shared outdoor space, laundry service (for a fee), location (read also cons), communication with the host, large shower with good pressure and hot water, proximity to local restaurants cheap but good (great for breakfast, not bad for lunch and dinner), the beach can be easily reached on foot in about 20 minutes (all flat road), reaching the closest beach next to the hotel royal zanzibar resort. Excellent hospitality from Olga, Roman, his mother and also Simba :-P

“Perfect hidden and calm gem in the middle of Nungwi”

For an explorer like me it has all you need. Big room and bathroom, a common kitchen to prepare simple meals and morning coffee. I normally don’t care about the property amenities and meals, I prefer to explore the neighbourhood. This property is perfect in providing simple but clean, I can’t stress clean enough accommodation.

“The great stay at the heart of Nungwi”

It's a perfect place for long term as well as for short term stay. I lived in an apartment so was able to cook by myself. The room is big enough and very comfortable, there is always hot water at shower what is, as I heard, is a problem at the island. Property is run by Ukrainian couple, they are so nice and helpful. There are a lot of places to eat around for every cost and main street at the evening becomes the main street food at the town. The walking distance to the beach is about 15 minutes. I was impressed how clean Happy House is comparing with the surrounding.

Very cozy house and friendly couple welcoming you. Rooms are very clean, spacious and even better than some 70$ hotels in nungwi, very good value for money! I highly recommend. Hot water with pressure, I repeat, even better than some expensive hotels

It was very cozy and the room looked very nice with carpet. The owners were so kind to us and even provided information with places and activities nearby. in our room, we had a small shelf for clothes, a table and chairs (sitting area) for dining, couch/bench and also small table next to the bed. The bed also had a mosquito net. Very well equipped.

The place is located ten minutes walking distance from the wonderful beach only. It is a very cosy and clean accommodation. In addition the staff is very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend the place.
