Our stay at this guesthouse was wonderful. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were delicious, varied, and filling. The location is great, as you can walk to two of the best beaches — Kendwa or Nungwi. It takes about 25–30 minutes on foot to reach each beach. We are very satisfied with our stay. There’s also a great restaurant just about 50 meters away, where the food is excellent.

We had a very pleasant stay at the property. Lovely accommodation and grounds and generous breakfast provided. Staff are great, very accommodating. We walked and found our way around the area. There are plenty of shops / stalls, restaurants etc. Bajajis available if you don't like walking. We found taxis to be expensive in Zanzibar.

wonderful place between kendwa and nungwi beach, close to restaurant and shop. but the biggest advantage of garden pearls is the wonderful team of Victor and Vicki, absolutely wonderful, helpful and always smiling. I hope to come back in September

“Victor & Victoria, the real Pearls”

Undoubtedly the best thing about Garden Pearls is the high quality and friendly service provided by Victor and Victoria (unrelated), whose work rate is second to none. The driver, Ali, contracted to the hotel also provides an extremely reliable and reasonably priced service. Do not expect the facilities of an all-singing, all-dancing 5 star resort, remember that this is Africa and you will not be disappointed. Very few, if any mosquitoes in the building itself, everywhere is pristinely clean and tidy.

It was very conveniently located in between Kendwa and Nungwi beaches with less than 10min drive to both. Rooms are spacious and clean and equipped with AC.

“Perfect stay thanks to Victor”

Perfect location being in between Nungwi and Kendwa beaches (ideally you rent a motorbike or you go around by taxi). It’s on the main road and next to the hotel there’s a supermarket. Victor made our stay perfect. He has the sense of urgency and fixed a small problem in our room. He always implemented our feedback immediately such a as varying the breakfast. He spent time with us and we felt at home.

Service was on top. Victor is a really nice guy. With him we felt like staying in the friend's home. Tasty and healthy breakfast. Location near with supermarket is a good bonus, also the distance to Kendwa and to Nungwi beaches are the same so we could choose everyday.

Garden is beautiful and the staff is very friendly.
