“A wonderful stay with amazing hospitality, delicious food, clean rooms, and a perfect location close to the beach.”
The staff were very attentive and friendly. Their hospitality was wonderful. They responded to all our questions and requests very quickly and positively.If I come back, I would definitely stay at this property again. We came as two families and stayed for 7 days. The food was extremely delicious and clean, and the rooms were also very clean. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable holiday.It is very close to the beach, within walking distance. On our first night, they organized a local entertainment event, which was very fun and enjoyable.We would especially like to thank Jason for his care, help, and support.

“Aladdin's Cave - Don't miss this great treasure!”
I stayed a night and loved it so much that I stayed 2 weeks more! The attention to detail, ensuring your comfort, security and needs are met, is second to none. I had a wonderful single bungalow (queen size bed) with unlimited air conditioning, safe, fridge, fresh water and cleaning daily and a ceiling fan. It had an outside seating area in the peaceful, beautiful and safe tropical garden. Breakfast is huge, nutritionally well balanced and delicious. It's available from early up until 12! The menu, available all afternoon and evening, is incredible value with a great choice of freshly cooked local dishes available. Tours are available to book at the bungalows and I highly recommend a day out with local guide, Jovin... Aladdin presents himself in human form as a man named Jason... I honestly had amazing support and guidance from him... "Your Wish is my Command" is an appropriate mantra to represent his attitude and leadership standards he sets for the wonderful team he leads that work there. Just a few examples for me included, money exchange, trip planning, medical assistance, inteoduction to the property artist for a commissioned canvas to take home and sharing of local knowledge and information. I have visited 48 countries and stayed in multiple types of accommodation. I have also worked as a Tui rep supporting tourists in up to 5 star hotels. Until now I've always said my best ever personal customer experience was on Cunard... but this wonderful little place in Zanzibar has stolen my heart and knocked my socks off!

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, and it offers great value for money. It is located in a very safe area, especially for a solo female traveler. I was able to walk to all the activities I wanted to do. The evening dinner/show is a must-do!

“Babalao days”
Superb setting, relaxed vibe and nearby to a multitude of tourist sights and activities. It's a fairly well maintained residence using clean water in their showers, unlike some places. The clear vegetable soup was top notch. Staff we're courteous, polite and respectful. We took our time to treat them well, and they reciprocated with kindness. I wish everyone was the same.

“Stop scrolling... check this out!”
Exceptional communication pre-arrival and on arrival. Taxi organised to collect me at airport. Simon, night security, greeted me in the early hours and was charming and helpful. Wonderful, clean room with mosquito netting, toiletries and air con. Lots of electrical sockets. A lovely private terrace in a beautiful garden. Delicious breakfast and a friendly team, all very willing to help with even the most basic of questions. A haven of peace and tranquility on the doorstep of the hustle, bustle and beauty of the town and beaches

“A lovely small hotel with a homely feel.”
Very nice and peaceful location. 4 minutes to the beach. Good restaurants in all price ranges just around the corner. Nice bungalows and a familiar environment. It felt like a second home. Places like Babalao Bungalows are becoming increasingly rare. At a time when strong forces are working to replace them with large, impersonal hotel complexes that feel completely out of place, it’s something we should truly appreciate, support and protect.
