“Absolutely unacceptable experience”

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Quentin Canal House. We booked two rooms for €1200 for two nights expecting a comfortable and decent stay based on the photos shown online. Unfortunately, what we experienced was completely different. The rooms were extremely small — far below what is shown in the listing — and the beds were incredibly tiny, not even suitable for a child. The space felt cramped, uncomfortable, and honestly closer to a hostel-level setup than a hotel charging these prices. The most frustrating part is how misleading the photos are. The images on Booking.com suggest spacious rooms with proper beds, but the reality is the complete opposite. This is not a minor difference — it’s a clear misrepresentation. When we raised this issue with the hotel staff, they were unhelpful and refused any refund or solution. We were left with no choice but to book another hotel at our own expense. For €1200, this is simply unacceptable. I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel unless you are prepared for a very disappointing surprise.

Was a fabulous location , was very clean , big clean bathrooms , Bfast was very good as well and above all David from the staff was extremely helpful. Great service from all staff.

Hotel has a good location, just a few minutes walk to the city centre. We had our own bathroom in the room. Equipped with shampoo, hair conditioner and dryer. Staff was very nice. Definitely recommend.

Well communicated before arrival and very friendly staff onsite, room was minimal but ideal location for a base to explore Amsterdam with tram stop and canal tour stop just a couple of mins away

Everything was perfect, the staff,the location very central, great view to the canal, ,i ll definetely ceme back!!I suggest it, great value for money.
