Its a wonderful location and a great building Had we had lighting that worked and any sort of view it would have been really special.. I would certainly go again but be much more careful at choosing the type of room and avoid the ground floor. It was comfortable and good communal areas / restaurant / breakfast

We have stayed here several times and have always liked the beautiful location—beautiful in any weather. The staff are friendly and helpful. This time we really enjoyed meeting some of the friendly new staff in the restaurant, including the young man from Argentina and the young woman from Mallorca! And the restaurant is good! Compliments to the chefs. Our duplex room was spacious, clean, quiet, and had lovely views over the dunes to the sea. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. We enjoyed chatting for a moment with the young man from Portugal who tidied our room.

The location is absolutely incredible, falling asleep with the door open and the dunes right outside was such a special experience. We were able to cycle everywhere with ease, including the beach, forest, nearby towns, and across to the east side of the island. The Sunday morning reception staff were fantastic, so helpful, kind, and, considerate. It really made a difference to our stay. The dinners were excellent; we chose to eat at the hotel both nights and also ordered room service one evening. There’s a small service charge, but after a full day of hiking and biking, it felt like a real treat to relax in bed with a glass of wine and watch TV. The international wait staff were wonderful as well – a special mention to the Argentinian gentleman, who was particularly friendly and attentive. We had a fantastic stay and would happily return!

The hotel is set on its own surrounded by sand dunes in a beautiful location about 400 metres up a gentle hill from the beach itself. The room decor suits the environment because guests may bring back sand in their clothing and shoes. The hotel has a real beach feel. The room is very comfortable with an excellent bathroom and shower. The outdoor space on the ground floor or a balcony upstairs is an added bonus to sit outside and experience the light, wind and sounds of the wild environment . The staff are excellent and helpful. Bikes and electric bikes can be rented through the hotel. This is a real bonus. Hotel reception provides fully charged batteries for the e-bikes rented. When the battery is depleted, just return the battery to reception for a fully charged one.

We loved everything about our room - it's spaciousness, the view over the dunes, the large comfortable bed, the sound proofing; the bathtub. Everything was just great! The staff was very friendly and helpful . We loved the location of the hotel near the beach. We rented e bikes right at the hotel which was very convenient! I took advantage of the spa facilities - everything was clean and well kept. The breakfast is plentiful and a good variety of foods available. We appreciated the coffee maker in the room as well as the robe which was handy for going back and forth to the spa. One night we had dinner in the excellent restaurant . The food was delicious and service was great. Overall, we loved our stay at Paal 8 and wish we could have stayed longer!!
