The building is very old, access are via very steep, narrow tread and winding stairs. Suite had no air conditioning, however there was a small table top fan.

We had a fantastic stay and would happily stay here again in a heartbeat. Before arriving, we requested a quiet room at the back of the hotel, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. Despite being in a lively area, the room was surprisingly peaceful and allowed us to relax properly after busy days exploring Amsterdam. The service throughout our stay was excellent. Everyone we spoke to was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful, and they also kindly arranged a late check-out for us, which made a huge difference on our final day. The complimentary bottles of water were such a thoughtful touch as well, especially during the heatwave, and were very much appreciated. The stairs are steep, but that is completely normal for traditional Amsterdam buildings and honestly adds to the authentic charm and character of the experience. Overall, the kindness of the staff and the comfort of the stay exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam

Had an excellent time staying at the Imperial Hotel! The location was excellent - walking distance to all the places I went to and close to the tram and trains. I came to Amsterdam for the weekend to see the tulips and this hotel was perfectly situated for me to both see the city centre and also get outside Amsterdam to visit the tulip farms! The rooms were spacious, quiet, great WiFi, free water bottles as well as tea/coffee in the room, and I had a great sleep every night because the room was dark and the bed and blanket were very comfortable. Above all the staff/owners were so accommodating and kind! I travelled as a solo female and felt very safe and taken care of. 10/10 would recommend - I will be back!

Very noisy from the starters until 03 and right outside my window was a building construction so I could not look out.

The staff is extremely helpful, attentive. The location is very convenient, with everything easily accessible. The rooms and common areas are clean and very well maintained. A big advantage for those who enjoy nightlife – it’s vibrant and lively just outside the door, with bars, music, and a great atmosphere right nearby.
