“STAY AWAY!!! Rude racist staff and poor hotel facilities !”

Terrible stay experience - never again! STAY AWAY from this property!! Have been staying at fletchers across the country - but this one is really bad . Lady at the reception is exceptionally rude - ‘supervisor’ it seems. Extremely racist staff behaviour - they really need to look at staff training esp for the front desk . Lady at the reception told us extremely loudly and rudely that we are ‘complaining ‘ guests and ‘ we can leave the hotel if we don’t like but have to yet pay and she doesn’t care a damn ‘. Quoting her verbatim here - all bcos we had asked her if we could get a room either with a fridge ( our booking didn’t have one ) or if she could find a solution to store the baby milk for us . She screamed , rolled her eyes , sniggered and it was almost unbelievable that she could behave that way and get away with it . When we mentioned we will report this to management and she is being extremely racist and ride - she sniggered and said we could do whatever we like . Later another ‘supervisor’ present said we could store the milk with the reception - but she was unaffected and by then we just wanted to go home . It was a terrible experience and these kind of people and hotels should not even be in hospitality business . We saw her and others being extra accommodative on all requests and polite to white guests - so if ur colored - STAY away unless u want to be humiliated over small things . Unacceptable behavior esp in NL - very disappointed , we won’t be going here again and warning all our friends . Also facilities are poor - tired rooms , cold pool , same breakfast and unbelievably rude and racist staff. We were wishing we hadn’t booked here - spoiled our holiday . We popped over to the nearby camping rooduin and were floored by how warm and friendly they were with us and our child . Hated our stay here - simply terrible hotel and service.

Exceptional breakfast, especially the fresh banana bread. Yum! Facilities were good and the warmed pool was lovely. Great location too, nice and close to the Nes town centre and the beach.

Very good location. The hotel is well equipped and staff is friendly. The shower wasn't very clean but that is my only complaint. The breakfast was also good. Overall I definitely recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Ameland

I had a great overall experience at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made my stay enjoyable. One of the highlights was the option to hire bicycles, which allowed me to explore the area conveniently and the use of the sonar. There is an area to relax, enjoy the sun and watch kids play. The breakfast was delicious. The room was clean and comfortable.

The location is amazing ,the facilities are amazing for family.everything is close by,beach,playgrounds,museum,en a plus for an indoor swimming pool which we enjoyed as a family 😍

The studio was big and it had a terrace. There was an indoor pool but it was very small. Breakfast was lovely and enough options. It was a very comfortable stay close to the center of Nes.

The room was great and location was ideal for cycling around the island.

Due to a lot of miscommunication from Booking.com, they missed a lot of information and requests, but they were able to provide a better room at last.
