Overview
Located opposite Faua Wharf, Waterfront Lodge boasts a restaurant with ocean views. It offers rooms with free continental breakfast and a private terrace overlooking the ocean or gardens. Waterfront Lodge is a 10 minutes’ walk from central Nuku'alofa, and 3 minutes’ drive from the Royal Tomb. Fua'amotu International Airport is a 30-minute drive away. All rooms include Fijian mahogany furniture and colorful artwork. Each air-conditioned room has a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, as well as a refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. The tour desk can organize tours of Tongatapu, as well as whale watching, scuba diving, snorkeling and cave diving. The property also offers a guest laundry. The café serves a varied menu featuring international cuisine and Tongan dishes. Popular items include fresh fish, steaks, seafood platters and Tongan raw fish with vegetables and coconut cream.

“Pleasant stay”
The property has a great vibe and the staff were wonderful (especially Nia who even offered to take us to the airport when we found ourselves in a pickle). The food served in the restaurant at the property was also very good.

“Pleasant relaxed experience”
Staff are friendly and helpful. It has a nice old world atmosphere and rooms are a good size. Importantly the split system air conditioning worked although struggled a bit during the hottest part of the day. February is the hottest month typically 31c with high humidity.

“Good would stay again”
Had dinner and breakfast at resteraunt and it was very nice . Prices were reasonable . Room comfortable and clean . Shower was good . A little noise from Street and people around and resteraunt below so if your a light sleeper ensure you take earplugs . I did and was able to sleep fine. Air con was beautiful to sleep in at night .

Very comfortable and staff were friendly and very helpful. It felt like a second home and we felt very safe and valued as a guest we hope to return for a holiday next year and look forward to staying at Waterfront Lodge again.

The service was excellent, the people were incredibly helpful and nice. The beer was cold :). The room was spacious, high ceilings, in room fridge, good aircon, nice verandah and bed was fine. The bathroom could do with a little TLC but was passable.

“Loved the Waterfront Staff were exceptional Nia is so amazing!”
Location excellent right across from Harbour as we went on boat daily Whale swims! Staff were the highlight just so lovely and put to please…… The restaurant was the best in town too! We were able to gather on balcony each afternoon as we were a group of 8 a beautiful garden outlook. Lots of noise, but that’s Tonga, church bells ringing early in the morning and dogs barking so Ear Plugs a must!!
