I like the staff a lot, they make you feel so welcome. This is now my choice when in Tongatapu The room are so very clean. I may have left my Corona beer in the fridge....ha ha

The staff here were fantastic, extremely helpful, polite and could not be more accommodating. The location was convenient, only a short walk into the centre of town. Yet the location was quiet with a beautiful outlook onto the ocean with waterfront walking paths. The restaurant facilities were excellent.

The Seaview lodge seems to be the first address in Tonga, especially when it comes to a layover before and after Whale Watching in Ha'apai, since many of the fellow tourists we met on Ha'apai stayed there as well. That said, since the Tsunami in 2023 Tonga has not that many hotels left to chose from. We stayed in a room on the floor behind the reception, which was OK but not very spacious. Other rooms have a better setup or view, so it depends on what you're ready to spend. The rooms and private bathroom were both clean and the beds comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, like almost everywhere in Tonga. The wooden deck out front is definitely the highlight of this hotel, since you have a good view out at the sea and you can get a splendid breakfast in the rising sun. You can order your included breakfast from a menu, which is - surprisingly - not limited to only one dish. so you can order e.g an omlette and muesli together to start your day. Lunch and Dinner are also served on the deck, but there is also an indoor seating area if you prefer to sit inside. The food is good and all in all you feel very well pampered. If you rent a car you can park it right in front of the lodge, which is all very comfortable. Also, the road does not get lots of traffic which is why you can sleep there quite quietly. The lodge is only a couple of minutes by foot to the royal palace (although there is not really much to see there) and to the "city center".

Staff were absolutely lovely. Deck was a great place to chill out. Peaceful being able to look out over the water. A bit out of town so quieter than expected. The food was ok but better options in town. Servings were huge. Rooms ok, nothing fancy.
