“A beautiful relaxing place to stay with stunning views”
Fare Manutea is a beautiful place to stay. It has stunningly beautiful views and Annie is a fabulous host. We had a lovely breakfast with her each morning and enjoyed good conversations. She took us to the town when we needed to go there and picked us up. Tours are arranged with Annie's daughter and we thoroughly enjoyed a full day tour.

“Wonderful Fare Manutea Fare Manutea”
We feel so privileged to visit Fare Manutea on the beautiful island of Nuku Hiva. A breathtaking view of Taioha'e Bay greeted us every day of our 8 day visit. Annie was the most gracious hostess, looking after us in all respects. Such a comfortable bungalow and lovely breakfasts with her and a marvelous dinner with her and her family. Always making sure we have all we need and taking us into the village and showing us around. Her knowledge of the island, the history and Marquesan people is fantastic and we learnt so much. Merci beaucoup to Annie and Laurane for organising the excursions and boat trips - to Hakaui to see Vaipõ waterfall, the archeological sites, Hatiheu, Anaho, Taipivai and all the places in between. We will always remember the endemic birds we saw, especially the Upe!, Mantas, feeding the sharks and the eels, the snorkeling and the picture perfect viewpoints of this island paradise. Laurane is an amazing guide.

“Cute fale looking across the valley and down the bay”
Hosts very nice and kind, with lots of stories and knowledge about the island. Quiet location with a beautiful view from the main house (while the bungalow is a bit sheltered).

* Very pleasant, private veranda with lovely view. * Annie is friendly and sociable. She is also very knowledgeable about the island & its culture, and available to share it, lend books, show guests around, or even introduce them to her local friends. She also provides tours and airport transfers for a fee. * Although there was no AC or fan, there was always a good air flow in the bungalow
