“Nice green surroundings and good food”
The green surroundings, beautiful garden with monkeys and a nice campfire in the evening. Good place for short walks and some bird watching. Close to the river. The room, beds, and bathroom are quite simple, but ok for a night before starting out jungle tour to cuyabeno. We were lucky that we were the only guests because the rooms are a bit noisy. Good food in their own small restaurant!

Beautifull, unique place. Nature all around. We've seen monkeys, frogs and many birds. The owners are very friendly. They made a campfire and took us for a nightwalk to spot animals.

“This guesthouse was a real wildlife tranquil gem and Camilo is so warm and friendly.”
The ambience, surrounding area and hammock lookout plus the warm host Camilo, make this place sublime. Set in the jungle close to the Río Aguarico you have to go through a military checkpoint as military grounds are close by which is why it is so tranquil and quiet - no people! There are squirrel monkeys visible everyday and I was woken every morning by the noise of red-handed titi monkeys. The birdlife is amazing too. Oropendola birdnests hanging everywhere. The room is really cosy but provided with a mosquito net. Not many of them of though. It's around 15-20 minute walk to any shops so Camilo provides gorgeous 3 courses at extra cost (approx $15 per day depending on amount of people). As the name suggests, ayahuasca ceremonies can be arranged with a local shaman 1-5 people. Taxis from Lago cost $7-8. Or a bus from near Lago Parque and a $2 taxi once in Santa Cecilla. Add a couple of days on your Lago journey for this guesthouse for sure.
