Spacious rooms and magnificent vista across the mountains, quiet location, friendly staff, in-house onsens were great, breakfast and afternoon tea included and was different every morning and tasted delicious

The rooms are HUGE, not just by Japanese standards but in general. There is free laundry facilities, afternoon tea, breakfast, private onsens. It was great.

A great hotel with many thoughtful touches that lifted Yasushi well above the usual. The breakfasts were varied daily and were top class, the onsite onsen was a bonus after skiing, and the staff were generally friendly and very attentive. The rooms with private facilities are very large by Japanese standards. Heated towel rails, a lift for upper floors and separate toilets in each room are indicative of the thought that has gone into the design. The gondola lift is some distance but transport is provide leaving every 20 minutes. The walk back is all downhill, and ski gear may be left at the lifts. The main village is a 6 minute stroll.

The staff were lovely and very helpful when I wanted to book a snow monkey tour with my son. The mix of staff speaking Japanese and English was great. My favourite accommodation I’ve stayed in Japan so far.

Probably the best stay of my adult life, everything was fluid, well thought and beautiful from beginning to end - it makes you have a different understanding of what it really means to be on holidays. The kindness and helpfulness of the staff, the delicious breakfast, the delicate decoration, the great location, all of this in such a cute village, it was simply wonderful. Highly, highly recommend
