“Large B&B style with clean rooms and excellent location”

Welcoming front lobby with areas to unwind. Check-in was a breeze and we appreciated the personal tour of the building and explaining the local spots to see in the town. The washrooms are separate ladies from mens which I preferred. Large dining room, where you can bring in your own food and watch tv. There is no menu offered but it's nice to have the space. They do offer free coffee in the lobby and some drinks for nominal fee. Short walk to restaurants in town. We found underground parking a short walk away.

The staff were generally friendly depending on whom you deal with (some are super friendly, others were so so). Decent location near the coach stop, but not near the ski lifts area.

Rooms were a great size, tea and toast making facilities were very good for our family travelling. Very close to restaurants and bus stop

Our room was simply but comfortable, the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The location in terms of the town centre is excellent, only a couple of minutes walk to shops, restaurants, onsen and bus stop. A decent 15 min walk to the ski area but only a very short walk to the shuttle bus. Our room had toilet but no bathroom, this was not a problem for us. Overall we had a most enjoyable stay.

Danny and the reception girls were amazing. So friendly and helpful. We have been to Nozawa before and it was a much better experience because of them.

This place is a little gem, I booked the last room for 2 nights it’s all that I could get. We didn’t know what to expect but when we arrive in this magical wonderland we met the mangers who have fantastic English and knowledge of the area. They have a homely setup, slippers at the front door. Small onsen and hot showers. They have a kitchen and dining room and facilities to make your stay if it was longer very easy to accommodate. We will definitely stay here again and I can’t thank them enough for helping me book all the ski hire and lessons. Just a little tip… Every thing completely shuts down for the Xmas and new year holidays so you won’t get any reply’s in that time!

Beautiful staff and so incredibly clean !

Great location, friendly staff, and comfortable lodging in a traditional Japanese pension/hotel. Shared shower and toilets (gender separated) with a hot tub for convenient relaxation after a day on the snow.

“Great stay”

Stopped here for 5 nights recently and really enjoyed it. Carol was extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were all warm (they each had a heater in) and the bedding was comfortable enough (futons). Shared showers, dining room and bathrooms, but all warm and clean. The hotel was full when we were there, but it didn't seem overcrowded at all. Washer and dryer downstairs.

The young group of staff from over the globe were all super lovely, friendly and helpful. The location from the main gondola was a good enough distance to get the legs going again in the morning but not outrageously far, about 10 mins, or 2 mins to the bus stop.. and only 3 mins to main street. Great steaming hot onsen only 2 mins away also. Good, filling breakfast in the morning although strongly European influenced.
