“Great Japanese”

This was a great and unique ryokan experience in an onsen town. The room, service, onsen and breakfast were all fantastic.

The breakfasts were excellent and there is nothing like a private onsen to relax the body after skiing.

The dry room for snowboard/ski gear is heated. Boots were dry, warm and toasty every morning!

It was an incredible experience staying at Nakajimaya Ryokan. Everything was perfect — the room, the service, the cleanliness, the delicious breakfast, and of course the beautiful on-site onsen. After a long day of skiing, it was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, and the traditional ryokan experience made our stay feel very special. We truly enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend Nakajimaya Ryokan to anyone looking for a comfortable and authentic place to stay while visiting the area.

The rooms were very clean and the onsite onsen was very relaxing. A discount was available at a ski rental store that also allowed you to store equipment overnight.

We loved our stay at Nakajimaya Ryokan. Traditional Japanese Inn with on-site onsen was amazing. We had a traditional Japanese breakfast each day which was terrific. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Location was great, a 5 minute walk to the centre of the village and 10 minutes to the base of the mountain for skiing!

Our family of 6 (adult children) had a wonderful stay. The staff were amazing. The breakfast each day was fantastic. I really liked the location, it is in a quiet area, only 5 mins walk to all the shops etc, about 15 mins walk to ski hire pick up. If I return to nozawa Onsen - I would difinywky choose to stay here again.

The staff were lovely and always happy to help as much as they could. The location is so close to the centre of town and a few nice restaurant's. The view we had was amazing.The onsen on-site was set-up quite well and added a little something extra to the place.

Ryokan had its own onsen and was close to other nearby onsen. Staff were very kind and helpful and english was very good. Rooms were clean and the building had its own historic charm.

We had an amazing time with wonderful hosts! Everyone was soooo friendly and forthcoming! The location is perfect. 5 minutes to the center with all restaurant and bars and another 5 to the gondola! Everything was clean, the onsen was hot and quiet! We slept on futons which were comfortable. New towels and ropes every day! Breakfast was tasty and authentic. Overall, we couldn’t have loved it more and we will be back!

It was so comfortable the amenities were great, food was delicious.
