Overview
Just a 5-minute walk from the slopes of Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Lodge Ueno offers ski equipment hire, sells lift passes and has a karaoke room. The simple Japanese rooms are air conditioned and have shared bathrooms. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. Bedding at Lodge Ueno Ski consists of Japanese-style futon bedding placed on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Toilets are shared. A TV and an electric kettle with green tea are provided at each room. A public hot-spring bath (onsen) is located right next door, and Asagama-no-Yu hot spring is a 10-minute walk away. Hokuryu Lake is a 15-minute drive, and JR Togari-Nozawa-Onsen Train Station is a 20-minute drive. On-site parking is free. A set-menu Japanese breakfast is available for an extra charge.

“Great location right near everything you could need”
Amazing location, comfortable Japanese style rooms, toilets were clean. Were able to store our bags before check in which was nice.

It’s very basic. The bath/shower is only open for 5 hours (over dinner time) and there was no hot water at all for one of the nights we were there . The bins in the bathroom were always full. Mould in the bathroom.

It's a Japanese style room with futon beds. We went during winter to ski, but the heating was average. There are Japanese style toilets in some levels and the shower is gender shared, onsen style. It was a good location for the ski resort and centre though and we were able to keep ski gear in an area near reception.

Very central. Great location for accessing ski fields. Within 10 mins, you are at the gondolas.

“Had a pleasant stay!”
The staff was really kind and helpful. It was snowing really heavily on our checking-out day, and the staff helped us to transfer luggages to our next booked hotel (We didn’t manage to get a room for 7 consecutive days and so had to move to another nearby hotel after 4-days stay). The village is so busy during New Year Time and do recommend to make bookings as early as possible! Location is great!

Great location, central to everything. Easy walk to slopes, easy walk to dinner. Even easier walk to Onsen directly next door. Heater in room with plenty of hanging and drying space for ski gear.
