Off season travel means onsen was all to ourselves with no others stayjng

We loved absolutely everything about Kadowakikan. The Manager/Owner was so helpful and accomodating he made it feel like a home away from home.

Host was really friendly, helpful and available. He explained the town, skiing, rentals, picked me up from the bus stop. Room was clean and spacious. Private Onsen was great to have. Facilities were old but all functional. 10 minutes walk into town. Great affordable option to enjoy Nozawa Onsen.

The owner was so helpful from picking me up at the bus stop, showing some great spots to eat, provided a ski lift pass for discounted passes and helped deliver my snowboard to my next location. Plus the ski lift is only 5 minutes from the accommodation!

The property location to town and the ski lift were fantastic only a small walk to each. Staff were friendly and helpful. The onsen was nice especially after a day on the slopes

I had a lovely stay, adding to a memorable ski trip at Nozawaonsen. Location was great and yasuo kadowaki was such a good host, even driving me to the bus terminal on the last day.

Beautiful room, super comfortable, with a free onsen inside that you can visit most of the day which was extremely convenient and such a treat after a long day of snowboarding. Loved this place!

We had a wonderful stay, spacious room and the bedding/doona etc. were most comfortable. Daily dip in the beautifully hot onsen before heading out to dinner. It's about 15-20 minutes walk to main street restaurants, which we enjoyed. Shuttle bus stop to the gondola is around the corner, only a couple of minutes' walk away. (there is also a nice yakiniku restaurant next to the bus stop - very convenient and a fun way to eat!

Host was so lovely, funny, kind and responsive long before my arrival. They helped me get a ticket to the annual fire festival. Thank you for having me and for a great stay. Would stay again for sure.

Location is 15min walk from town centre and only 50m from ski shuttle. Onsen was good. Futons were comfortable.

Lovely owner who went above and beyond. Great place to stay. About a 10min walk into town and a couple of minutes to the closest chairlift. Would only note is a shared bathroom & shower facilities which might not suit some. Overall a fantastic stay! Thank you!

It was very cozy and very clean. I liked that we had a private onsen within the hotel for guest use. It was a treat after skiing. The room had great views of the surrounding mountains and we spent quite a bit of time sitting in the lounge chairs looking out. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable.

Our room was wonderful, spacious and had everything that we needed. Was nervous about how the floor mattress would be but I was so comfortable and cozy. Great views of the town and surrounding mountains from our room. The owner was so nice and so helpful. The hotel is a few minutes walk from a chairlift to get up the mountain which was super convenient. Had great storage/drying facilities for snow equipment.
