The host and his wife were wonderful and accomodating. We loved conversing through Google translate. The location was prime and very convenient both to town and the slopes. The accomodation was traditional and authentic.

The couple who runs it was very nice, they were welcoming and helped us book a taxi when we needed it. The room was simple but good and the onsen was nice to relax a bit after skiing. The location was great, very close to the cable car and rental shops, and not far from the restaurant area.

The staff are delightful. They helped us out with lift tickets and gave us a little gift on departure. The private Onsen in the basement was an added bonus. The entire place CC was spotlessly clean. It was a short walk to the snow.

My son and I stayed for 10 days and loved it. We knew what to expect as I had read many reviews. And it did not disappoint. The lovely couple were so sweet and helpful with anything we needed. We had daily breakfast included which was amazing japanese style and so yummy. I would def suggest make sure you have the breakfast! Rooms were simple and comfortable. We dont mind sleeping on floor, and the mattresses were very comfortable. We used the in house onsen daily and was very clean and comfortable. We were used to the shared bathroom concept as we come to Japan often but if your new to it you will get used to it. The bathrooms were clean and not a problem waiting for them. It was located right below main gondola and ski rentals so easy to get to lifts. As its on the ski hill a walk downhill to restaurants is needed but not far and the village is so interesting and easy to navigate after a day or so.

The lovely couple who run this place are amazing!!! I was shown everything in the room and taken around the accommodation's facilities. The location is INSANE, 2 minute walk from Nagasaka Gondola. Everything was super clean and the room heating was very warm. Great value for money. I would highly recommend anyone stay here. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe. Planning another trip to stay here again with my friends next year!!! 11/10 experience.

It was a traditional ryokan type room and had all basic facilities but with a shared bathroom and had an onsen as well. The owner was very nice and friendly and gave us gifts as well on our last day

very nice elderly couple owners. comfortable room. location was great, very close to the biggest gondola. It is a pity that it doesn't provide dinner and breakfast for 2500 yen is a bit expensive, but there are tons of choices for bf/lunch/dinner in the onsen town.

The location was perfect for a snow holiday! 1-2 minute walk up to the gondola and about 3-5 minutes to the Main Street downhill. Just be prepared to walk uphill to the accommodation if you catch a bus in and after dinner etc. The owners are a lovely Japanese couple and will make you feel at home. We opted for breakfast everyday which was Japanese style and it was yummy. The rooms and beds are comfortable, and there is an onsen where you can bathe. If you’re not comfortable with onsen style bathing there is also a shower. All the facilities were very clean. Will love to visit again!

The owners are so kind and accommodating, brilliant for skiers/snowboarders with a dry room downstairs and plenty of storage for gear, rooms are tidy and cozy.

Super nice location right next to the gondola station. Very helpful and lovely hosts, an old couple who offered great help when the takkyubin was running late, calling them up and asking for details. Also gave us a lift to the bus station on our checkout date. Would love to stay again here! :)

I had a somewhat unique experience with Fureai No Yado Yasuragi. To get the normal stuff out of the way, the location is fantastic, extremely short walk to one of the main gondolas, so perfect for snow sports. The inn itself is immaculately clean in all aspects, and the service from the hosts is impeccable. All this would have been enough to earn a 5 star rating, but let's add to this that on my first day of snowboarding for this trip, I broke my ankle. The cast and crutches naturally put a stop to any further enjoyment of my holiday, and I effectively had to stay in my room and wait for my travel insurance to organise repatriation. During this time, the hosts were extremely helpful, from driving me to the clinic the day after initial treatment for my follow up, to making sure I remained fed and comfortable throughout the remainder of my experience. I plan to have another crack (no pun intended) at this holiday next year, and Fureai No Yado Yasuragi will be at the top of my list when I book my accommodation.

Great location. Very close to ski hire and Gondola and only a few minutes walk to main st of town. Very friendly owners. Would stay again.

“Exceptional Japanese experience”

The owner and his wife are wonderful and made my son and I feel so welcome - nothing was too much trouble. The location could not be better, the in-house onsen was a daily treat, and the Japanese breakfast is incredible. Highly recommend staying here if you visit Nozawa Onsen.

The owner and his wife.. they were wonderful host. Ever so helpful and kind. I was collected at the bus station by the owner and dropped off at another nearby hotel on my last day. He always has a plate of apple - peeled and cut - for me everyday when I come back from my 6 hours skiing. Also the hotel is literally 3mins walk to Nagasaka Gondola station.
