We had a truly wonderful stay at Blu Mare in Novigrad. Although we were initially quite disappointed to learn upon arrival that Restaurant Porporela was closed — especially as it had been one of the reasons for choosing the hotel — the team handled the situation with great care and professionalism. Their response was thoughtful and proactive, and we genuinely appreciated that they took our feedback seriously. As a very generous gesture, we were upgraded to the Owner Suite, which made our stay extra special. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team, and especially to Sanja, Danica and Teresa — they were absolutely outstanding. Warm, attentive, and always there whenever we needed anything. Despite the restaurant being closed, there are many excellent dining options nearby. We can especially recommend “Half 8,” just a short distance from the hotel. Overall, we had an amazing time in Novigrad — it has become our new favorite place in Istria — and Blu Mare played a big part in that experience. We will definitely return, not least to visit Restaurant Porporela once it reopens. Thank you again to the whole team for a memorable stay.

The hotel's location couldn't be better. The sea view is magnificent. The staff are extremely friendly and always smiling. Breakfast is excellent with a good selection of different foods. I definitely recommend it.

This hotel offers a lovely retreat, with sunset views from the room balcony that invite you to linger and soak in the atmosphere. Its location is ideal—just a short stroll to the town center and promenade—making it perfect for exploring on foot. Nestled in the Old Town, the hotel keeps cars at bay but thoughtfully provides a personal shuttle that reliably ferries guests between the carpark and reception. While the staff were kind and friendly, the overall atmosphere felt a touch impersonal. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The experience was memorable and well-appointed, though not exactly budget-friendly.

Lovely clean ,comfortable hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, from breakfast until evening. Only thing that was too much, were winter duvets, far too warm for us, but with the balcony door open all night, we managed to sleep.

Every detail, from the high-quality furnishings to the beautiful decor, feels thoughtfully placed. And the coffee machine? Hands down, the best I’ve ever had in a hotel room! If you get a room with a balcony, be prepared for stunning sunrises and sunsets over the picturesque port, lighthouse, and sea. 🍽 Breakfast: Absolutely outstanding! The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable—kind, professional, and attentive. 💙 Hospitality: The team at Blu Mare is what truly makes this hotel stand out.
