Lovely old villa with beautiful grounds and a fab pool. The restaurant was great, so were the staff. All good.

Good location, beautiful property with classy decor

It's a true palace with a luxurious interior. I wanted to take in every detail. At dawn, the birds were singing at the top of their lungs. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The service is excellent. The restaurant isn't cheap, and the portions are small, but it's not a pizzeria. The food is delicious, and the presentation and service are beautiful. There's billiards and a bar. The pool was still closed because it was still cold. This is a place the owners themselves love...and it shows in the little details.

The air conditioning in the room wasn't working and the valet service was very poor.

The hotel looks beautiful, like something out of a fairytale, and the location is lovely — but that’s where the positives end.

1) Exceptional location The Relais stands independently on a quiet, gently elevated hill at the northern edge of Gavi, with vast surrounding terroir that can be explored on foot. To the north, you can look out over the basin, and in the distance, the Alps. The morning mist is extraordinarily beautiful. 2) Outstanding architecture and interior design This is something you truly need to experience in person. Personally, what impressed me most were the various copper fish reliefs mounted on the parallel columns in the restaurant hall. They tell a story of the region’s gastronomic richness - not only through wine, but also through its food culture and ingredients.

Classy Villa, Great Food

“Pleasant stay”

Large historic complex with a nice classic interior. Good size new outdoor pool and nice area around the pool. Classic room is a good size and I like it more than the smaller Standard room. There is enough parking. Breakfast was good, but a few years ago the selection was a bit larger. I have to admit that in every hotel where we have had a repeat visit, the breakfast selection has become a bit smaller compared to previous years. 5 minutes drive from Serravalle Outlet.
