We stayed at Abbazia delle Sorelle in Novello for two nights while attending a wedding, and it was wonderful. Any questions we had after booking were answered very quickly and in perfect English. Any questions we had, whether it was for vegan options for breakfast or a late check-in, the sisters were incredibly accommodating and gracious. They always seemed willing to go the extra mile and we really appreciated it. The abbey itself is beautiful and peaceful. Our room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. A special mention goes to the resident cat, who seemed to keep a watchful eye on the area in exchange for a few friendly scritches. Marianne and Giorgia made sure our stay was without any worries and we can absolutely recommend staying there if you need a place in Novello!

“Nice stay in the Langhe area”

The room was spacious and clean. The owner was very friendly, helpful and caring. The terrace was nice and there was a view. The room had air conditioning. The Novello village is small, sympathetic and it had very nice restaurants, but there weren’t many people.

Everything about this property and our stay exceeded our expectations. The rooms were large, beds very comfortable, bathroom perfect. Airconditioner that worked beautifully as it was very hot and a fridge in the room. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay memorable as it was our wedding anniversary. The breakfast was the best we had in all the places we have stayed in the last 5 weeks if travelling. Everything you could have wanted was available for breakfast. The plunge pool was refreshing with views over the vineyards. We felt like we were in a resort. Location was 3 minute walk to restaurants. We will definitely come back and recommend this place to all our friends. Thank you Marianne and Georgia!

The B&B had a really good breakfast. There were trays available, so with good weather it was possible to take your breakfast outside to the lovely terrace with beautiful view! The rooms were equipped with wine glasses and a cork screw, so you you could enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace. Marianna was super helpfull, she arranges e-mountainbikes for us which is amazing to do in this area!

Great location in the quaint village of Novello, easy parking, lovely view from the terrace/pool with sun loungers. Nicely restored house with an excellent breakfast. Plenty of restaurants and wine bars within less than 10 min walking.

The property is well renovated, rooms are spacious and the bathroom is just right size. Big breakfast made by the owner in the morning. Owner is super helpful and kind.

“One of my top stays in the Langhe Monferrato region”

Rooms were simple but large with good facilities and an upgraded bathroom that was small but with all necessities. Staying in the rooms that would have housed the religious order from the past is very charming with high buttressed ceilings. Breakfast was superb with the full International breakfast choices and served in the expansive basement under the property, which is a lovely old Abbey, with Marianna as the perfect host. The home made hazelnut cake is a must to try or take to snack on later. The property had lovely views over the countryside and the Alps from the alfresco guest area with ample parking for guests on site, and only a 5 minute easy walk to the Centro with access to great meal options. Novello is a small town but with excellent amenities and access to the many vineyards, but away from the hustle and bustle of Barolo. It was actually one of my favourite towns during my week long stay in the Langhe Monferrato region.

“A lovely B&B - great breakfast and beautiful location.”

This is a wonderful B&B in Novello, with a lovely terrace overlooking the valley. The breakfast is excellent and we took it each morning on the terrace to enjoy the views. The converted abbey is beautiful and it was nice to stay in a building with beautiful architecture and a sense of history. The parking onsite was great. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, we would stay there again if we come back to Novello.

“Excellent stay in beautiful area”

Excellent stay in wonderful area. This place has everything you need for a great stay at a reasonable price. It is situated in an excellent location to explore the Langhe area (very close to Barolo and La Morra). Moreover Novello is a beautiful little town itself, and the hotel is in 2 min walking distance to the centre with a few nice dinner options. The outdoors has a small plunge pool to cool off and some loungers with a great view over the valley and the sunset. We booked the large room with balcony which was great. Hostess / owner is very friendly and makes a nice complementary breakfast in the mornings. Free parking on site. Tip: I rented an electric bike at a facility nearby (Novello Bikesquare) to discover the area. Would come back here!

“Historic gem with great owner”

Spacious room located in well restructured old abbey run by passioned owner in the hearth of Langhe area is the best to start understanding of barolo wines. Breakfast (salty and sweet) from the local products made at home with passion is the cherry on the top. And to have chance rest on the terrace, enjoying breathtaking view or cool down in the small pool helps a lot to say - YES we want to return.

Hosts were really solicitous, friendly and helpful, Novello is a lovely village that is less full of tourists than others in the area. The ginger cat was a special bonus and the cellar with the vaulted brick arches was splendid. Recommend room with balcony for extra views of mountains and veg garden, and vaulted ceiling

“Great stay in an old abbey, in a beautiful part of the world.”

A wonderful room in an old abbey. We had the room with the small balcony. Beautiful views. A nice place to sit at the end of a day of wine tasting. The rooms are large and spacious. Breakfast is served downstairs in a beautifully restored part of the abbey. Lots of food, and fresh. And the team that run it are excellent. Providing help and guidance. Car parking right at the door. Novello too is a very nice town. Far quieter than Barolo with some great restaurants and superb views.
