I had a pleasant stay at Urban Hotel Nouakchott. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful during my visit. Special thanks to the young lady at the reception — very professional, polite, and always ready to assist. The hotel atmosphere was comfortable and suitable for a business trip. Rooms were clean and overall everything was well organized. As a small suggestion for improvement, I think adding an automatic coffee machine in the lobby/common area would be a very good idea for guests and could become a nice additional service. Thank you again to the whole team for the hospitality.

Not a busy place as such staff were quite relaxed and proactive and easy to reach. Overall a great value for money and a nice place to stay.

The hotel accepts both cash and credit cards. No extra fee charged for using cards. The location is a bit of a walk to an area with Western restaurants - about 10-15 minutes but most restaurants are spaced out quite far anyway.. there is has a bus stop right outside (local Route No.L1B to Big Market), or a 4 minute walk to Carrefour SNDE for micro bus L9B to BND (near Capitole). [Frequencies are erratic though]. The hotel staff are friendly and pleasant. They help where they can, although I noticed the older staff have more understanding and knowledge of what you ask about than the younger staff. Perhaps a reflection of relative experience and English language (unfortunately I do not speak French nor Arabic). The hotel is in a reasonably good condition. The lobby is bright, tidy and clean. The room is well furnished with furniture that is in good condition. Bed sheets were clean as was the bathroom. Housekeeping keeps the room clean (but not full serviced). The refrigerator worked well and was clean. It was good that this was located in the lounge area as it kept the humming noise away from the bedroom. The kettle was also in good condition.

The hotel is nice and clean. The staff are very nice. One lady helped us to take a share taxi to where we needed to take a bus to Nouadhibou, and she even insisted on giving us money to pay the driver. I felt bad taking it because it really wasn't necessary, but it was such a nice gesture!

Without exaggeration, this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at — anywhere in the world. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff are truly amazing: welcoming, professional, and always ready to help. The room was spotless and very comfortable, with excellent air conditioning and a TV offering over 200 channels. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which is not always easy to find and made a huge difference. Also, I forgot to add in my last review; their breakfast is amazing. What really stands out is the value for money. I honestly don’t think you’ll find a better hotel in Mauritania at this level. If you’re coming to Nouakchott, don’t hesitate — this place sets the standard.

I really enjoyed my stay at Urban Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful with translating my English requests into French and Arabic, carrying luggage, booking taxis and organising laundry, and the breakfast was yum. The rooms are huge, WiFi good, hot water, aircon/heating, satellite TV, and there are shops, bakeries, cafes and restaurants you can walk 1-2 minutes to reach. Highly recommend!

“Very clean and comfortable hotel.”

Everything was exceptional! All the staff were friendly, welcoming and happy to help in any way. The hotel and my suite were kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very nice. Lovely hot shower. Close to supermarket and restaurant. The staff arranged for washing to be done for me and also organised transport when needed.

Very helpful staff, helped with arranging for us bus tickets, also airport shuttle and transfer to bus station provided. Thank you!

“Good place for good price, can recommend”

Good hotel, friendly staff, I was checked in at 3am without any problems, card payment is available. The room is large, clean, freshly renovated. They prepared breakfast a little earlier on request (at 7:30): a good basic breakfast: egg, bread, yogurt, butter, cheese, jam, juice, coffee. Good WiFi!

Very big room with a comfortable bed, a nice shower and a lovely view of the city. The room was also extremely clean and it was cleaned daily. The breakfast was amazing and all the staff that works there made us feel welcome. The hotel is also close to some nice restaurants. I'd stay here again without a doubt!
