Sebastien is the perfect manager and host. He provided excellent on-the-ground assistance when the airline lost my luggage. His tips and information regarding travel in Mauritania were incredibly helpful and valuable for both me and my 16-year-old son. He is the best person to contact upon arriving in Nouakchott before heading into Mauritania's desert regions.

This wonderful "oasis" in the middle of Nouakchott, with an excellent restaurant on site, provided a very convenient, relaxing, and enjoyable base from which we could explore a bit of Mauritania. The shaded garden is full of greenery and flowers, the large double room with private bathroom we had booked was spacious and clean, and the free continental breakfast was just perfect. Sébastien, the owner, took very good care of us, and we loved his restaurant which served up some amazing food. Merci, Sébastien!

The location, the nature, the birds the tress, the bungalow, the vibe very boheme and ethnic, locale and authentic. Also the reception was super hospitable and welcoming. I would go again and recommend.

“FANTASTIC STAY SEBASTIAN”
Sebastian, the owner was incredibly helpful and quite funny. He picked us up from the airport (30 euros) and dropped us off for the minibus to Atar (250 local). I stayed in the bungalows. I particularly liked the 3 singles bungalow. Lovely beds. Plenty of areas to relax. Ample Included breakfast (French style). Great value for money. The restaurant menu was excellent with a whole page of vegetarian choices. Hot showers Great atmosphere, full.of interesting travellers.

Excellent place to stay in Nouakchott, it's an oasis for travellers. The owner is an amazing person, he even gave us a lift to the airport as we were late for the flight.

“An invaluable base in Nouakchott guided by a host with unmatched knowledge of Mauritania.”
We arrived after a long journey from the Western Sahara–Mauritania border and were relieved to reach the guesthouse. Although our initial arrival felt a little unwelcome due to the host attending a large group, the service we later received genuinely shaped the course of our entire trip. The real strength of Auberge Triskell is Sebastian’s extraordinary knowledge of Mauritania. He is like an encyclopaedia of the country, with trusted contacts, recommendations and guidance for every notable destination, as well as details on transport timings, road conditions and logistics. His free online guide became our main reference throughout our journey, and the WhatsApp group he created allows guests to ask questions at any time and receive rapid, reliable advice. He even served us dinner despite telling us we had arrived too late, which we greatly appreciated. The accommodation itself is far above the national standard and offers excellent value.
