“Wonderful stay soured by bad experience at the end”

We really liked everything about the stay. The place is a little paradise, with beautiful garden, kind staff and delicious food. The bungalows were clean and spacious, it was really wonderful to stay there. They also helped us making plans for daily excursions, which were flexible and with local guides.

We had an excellent stay at Remo e Berenice. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality made us feel truly at home. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, with every meal being a real highlight of our trip. The ambiance of the place is just perfect: relaxed, charming, and full of character, creating the ideal setting to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, and the attention to detail was impressive. We would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay.

Staff were amazing and the hotel and location were just utterly peaceful and relaxed.

We had issues with our flight and could not make it to the hotel our first night - the boats dont go once its dark. They were very understanding and advised us a hotel nearby the port on Nosy Be and made arrangements for our transfer the next day! The staff made sure it was a wonderful time. They also bring coffee each morning and make sure your terrace is rain proof by gathering all the stuff each night. We went for a full board and everyday the lunch and dinner varried. They mentioned it"d be 80% fish, but we saw that if you prefer meat they can cater to that. The cocktails are also great and if you can't choose, just let them make you something and be surprised! The dog and cats were friendly, a big plus for us animal lovers.

This place went behind our expectations. First of all the location:even if there is a path for the local people in front of the lodge, you practically have like a private beach for the resort itself. We must say we visited in November and the first 2 nights we were the only guests ( what a treat). The sea view bungalow was clean and spacious , the veranda and the sun beds a DREAM. We experienced a high level cuisine thanked to a very young talented chef. Maurice took care of us in a very good way. We appreciated the high speed free internet , the sunset, the perfect massages, the snorkel just in front of the lodge and the private atmosphere of the 5 bungalows. We are happy to come back. The owner Berenice helped us solving a small issue, she was very kind even if we only just spoke on the phone. I hope this place will stay like this, secluded and peaceful. We slept very well . I m a host too , working in tourism since 25 years and appreciate the commitment of the other host like Mme Berenice.

Remo e Berenice was an incredible place to stay. Despite booking based on lots of fantastic reviews, it exceeded our expectations! We were greeted with fresh coconuts and a welcoming smile and we loved every day spent exploring Nosy Komba and the surrounding area, The location was amazing, located on a small stretch of private beach and accessible only by boat (or foot from the local village). The room was clean and spacious and the food was delicious, including freshly caught fish and seafood. We were able to borrow kayaks and snorkelling gear to explore the house reef. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful and was able to arrange anything we asked, including a short walk around the island, where we saw numerous fruit, veg and lemurs, as well as seeing life in the local Malagasy village. Thank you for our fresh coffee outside our room each morning! We experienced a few highlights of our whole trip during our stay here - firstly the snorkelling at Nosy Tanikely and Sakadia - we felt so special to snorkel alongside giant sea turtles, sharks and other tropical fish with NO tourists around. This meant that the sea-life wasn't scared away and we could watch them for as long as we wanted (Just don't forget to take your underwater camera to Madagascar like we did!!). Secondly sunset at the local village - we took an evening walk, kindly led by one of the staff that worked at the resort. He took us to a stretch of beach by his house where we drank from fresh coconuts that he cut down from a nearby palm tree, whilst watching Malagasy life as the sun went down. We loved the view over the beach and also seeing the moon and stars from the pier. Overall we absolutely loved it - you will miss out if you don't stay here!

Rino and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Excellent food. Lovely room with beautiful view and coffee left outside for us every morning at sunrise. Snorkeling on the reef outside. Can't recommended highly enough.

The location is superb, a group of bungalow close to an amazing private beach. The care and kindness of Berenice and her staff make this place unique. They treated us as their own sons, being careful to every detail and making us feel home. It’s impossible to imagine a better place to stay.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the meals are fantastic ( a chef worthy of a Michelin star!)everything is very close to perfection- the only problem is that you cannot go anywhere without renting a boat and the beach area is very small and not that interesting.

the location of Remo and Berenice was gorgeous-on an island in paradise with large cabins(all facilities) built to make the most of views over the ground/beach to the beautiful blue sea . Each cabin had a large terrace with a covered area for a table and 2 arm chairs and an open area where there were 2 sunbeds. Every morning the sun bed mattresses were put out-the sun shade was put up-they have thought of everyones` needs and provided. We were asked if we had any food allergies or dislikes (which we do not have ) Our first meal was a lobster starter followed by fish with rice. Although there was not a choice of food , the meals were all delicious. We met Berenice on our first morning and when we said we had come to snorkel she smiled and pointed out to the sea!! The coral was 100 yards for their beach. Berenice also arranged for a local man to take us by boat a little further up the coast to snorkel. The sea was so clean and clear we saw coral all the way to where we actually snorkeled in an area of the best healthy coral we have ever seen (we have been nearly everywhere .) Two turtles swam with us and there were many varieties of fish...lovely.
