Loved.... the lush green gardens, the flowers, the chatlets open to the air & with a lovely sea breeze, the extra outside shower, the fantastic food, the staff - polite & helpful, the comfortable bed, the big rooms, the deck chairs, the bowls to wash sandy feet, the local people walking past on their way to the village, the freshly made lemonade, the beach area, the fishermen in their wooden boats, the car free island, and the fabulous views.

The place is charming, lovely garden, very nice staff, the owner is very friendly, the welcome and goodbye ceremony is amazing and touching, the kindness of the people is heart warming, the breakfast buffet was good and lot of choice. But try to book the front bungalow it makes a huge difference

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful new small hotel, nestled like a botanical garden between the ocean and the forest. It’s lovingly built and run by a fantastic family, and from the very first moment you feel completely at home in this vibrant natural paradise. On Nosy Komba there are no cars or tuc-tuc, just peace and quiet. The bungalows are spotlessly clean, with a modern design that blends local materials and thoughtful details. The food is fresh, local, and absolutely delicious, and the service couldn’t be better. A heartfelt thank you to Spela, her husband Borut, and their daughter for their warmth, availability, and wonderful recommendations. Their dedication and passion for bringing their dream to life shines through in every detail.

The entire garden is like a dream – full of blooming flowers, lush plants, and peaceful paths. Everything is so beautifully designed and thoughtfully arranged – you can feel how much heart has been put into this place. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming – we felt at home from the very first moment. The food? Absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and made with love. Amazing staff - some of the best we’ve experienced Amazing owners - the most welcoming and caring hotel owners we’ve ever had. Food - food home cooked and so much of it. Helped us organise activities. Took us to the local boxing. Made sure we were satisfied and happy at all times. Some of the best service we’ve ever received. The way you get welcomed and sent off when you arrive on the boat is something special.

We had the perfect stay at Komba Cabana! The accommodation was immaculate, very clean and well maintained. The hosts were so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay and our onward travel. The staff were all very friendly too and made us feel very welcome! The concept of the lush garden, sandy pathways, airy lobby and cozy bungalows is amazing. Very welcoming and calm atmosphere. Quiet place in nature with own sandy beach right in front. Good food is served, also excellent breakfast buffet. The owners are warmhearted and the best hosts you could wish for for a relaxing vacation!

“A barefoot island dream come true”

I stayed at Komba Cabana for a week with my mother. It was everything I could have wished for from an island getaway, and more. It will stay in my memory forever like a blissful dream. We arrived by boat on the beach to a welcoming committee. Komba Cabana is a small and intimate resort with its own pretty private beach. The design is simple, stylish, sustainable, using local materials. There are little touches everywhere, which make it special, like complementary local chocolate and vanilla, mosquito coils and sunscreen in the rooms, footbaths outside the rooms to wash off the sand, with floating hibiscus flowers. The food is fantastic, with a choice of 2 fresh dishes daily, based on what is available. Villagers bring fresh fish and fresh produce daily to the kitchen, and the menu is designed accordingly. By the end of the week, we felt like family, Spilar and her family and staff are so welcoming and hospitable and friendly. The sea is clear and excellent for swimming. We had an awesome outing to two nearby islands to snorkel, and saw turtles and tropical fish. We plan to come back here every year, and next time bring the rest of the family.

Špela and her family are super-kind and the perfect hosts. Starting with the airport pickup to arranging day trips, a lazy beach day or special dietary requirements. We spent a wonderful holiday in a beautiful ocean bungalow and could not ask for more.

A magical place run by some incredible people who make you feel at home from the first second you step on their island. More than a hotel, Komba Cabana is a family affair...and the family seems to have grown beyond the owners themselves over the years as all the staff seems to belong to their family as well...they are clearly happy to be there and that makes us very happy too. The accommodation is respectful of the magical environment it is in, and the ocean view bungalow offers incredible comfort and incredible sunset views. We have now claimed it as ours so stay away!! We came for a relaxing week (and w birthday celebration) and we left with magical memories but also and more importantly with ew friends...we can't wait to come back very soon...catching up with our new found friends and family...looking forward to see what else they can do to this place, looking forward to see how the garden will grow too. We would like to keep this place for ourselves but it wouldnt be fair for the people who run ot with a passion...so the secret is out, go and enjoy it too when you can.

“Top 3 best places I have ever stayed.”

One of the best stays I even had in my life! The place is managed by a wonderful family, so be sure to be very well taken care of. Water was for free. The hotel is very cosy, clean and quiet. Design is very well thought through. Exceptionally good service, great location, ocean is very clean with a small coral reef 20-30 meters away from the shore. There are also 3 sea turtles living somewhere around which you can see in the second half of a day. Food is always freshly cooked, fresh juices for breakfast, nice cutlery and decoration. I stayed just 2 nights but I wish I stayed longer. Highly recommended.
