“A perfect stay”

Canopée lodge is a beautiful hotel with stunning views (especially at sunset). The pool has an ingrained view and the beach is just a ~30m swim away from a coral reef with loads of fish and turtles. The room was clean and had working air conditioning (limited to 24°C which was comfortable at night with the fan on). The restaurant was incredible with amazing food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Each meal was different and I was impressed by every dish! Valentin was away during my stay but was always reachable via WhatsApp. His colleague Larry was available in person and via WhatsApp to help with any questions and to book any transfers and excursions (which were all enjoyable and well priced, especially the trip to Nosy Tanikeky). I really enjoyed spending time with Larry and getting to know him. Overall, Canopée Lodge was a perfect stay and I would recommend it to anyone who is able to access it via the steps.

The view and rooms are amazing. You are right in the middle of a forest, no contamination. Food is amazing with great vegan options. There is a very little beach but the water is amazing to swim and snorkel. Larry was a great host always ready to meet your needs.

we loved the staff. Mani, Larry, Charlotte, Angelo. We laughed and played a lot. not hotel vibe but more connected. the views are super Instagramable for those who care. The host very responsive and nice. just such a relaxed hangout for people ready for it.

We had the most incredible stay at Canopee Lodge in the Vato villa. From the breathtaking views to the service from the staff, everything was just fantastic! Special mention must be made of the host and staff as they are so friendly and will go out of their way to help make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food and drinks were also spectacular. Fantastic rooms with beautiful view. Food (set menu) was very nice too. Enjoyed the kayaking and snorkelling. Good communication with host via WhatsApp before and during stay.

Highly recommended and really good value! Nice food, great juices and cocktails. Very helpful owners and friendly staff (some even spoke English and not only French)! Excellent Wifi, modern rooms and amazing views on the private deck. You just have to be aware that you have to climb some steps every day :)

Great place to stay with stunning views over the ocean to the mainland. Sunset from my deck in a hammock every night. Staff spoke very little English but we got by with Google translate & a bit of French. Food was very nice.
