A lovely traditional place to stay, host is very welcoming and friendly

Dinner very nice and complete. Breakfast good. Service, hospitality, driving and smile from Kako fantastic. A very special experience, high up in the mountains. We chose it because all was fully booked, but it was a great experience. And in the dining room you meet the nicest people.

Comfy vibes, we were given a nice welcome even when we arrived late. The room felt traditional and despite being a call night, the room was warm!

Kaako is very welcoming and takes care of her guests. She led us to the light of day see the beautiful sea of clouds, it was breathtaking! We enjoyed sleeping at her place and being part of her family!

The Host was extremely nice, welcoming and helpful. We had the spacy room with the kitchen and everthiny we needed was there. The breakfast was delicious. also the surrounding area Looks stubning, but we unfortunately didnt have the time to stroll aroubd as we had to leave quite eatly and arrived late.

“Wonderful stay”

The host is one of the most welcoming person we have met during our trip in Japan. She came to pick us up later than planned at Koyasan, according to our request. She came with her granddaughter and was very curious and open-minded. She prepared us delicious meals (for the dinner and for the breakfast), she is an excellent cook! She speaks a bit English, sufficiently to communicate and share about life and the Japanese culture. We had a wonderful stay at her place!

“A delightful guest house with easy access to Koyasan.”

A delightful guest house, situated in a quiet spot about 15 mins drive from Koyasan. The hostess was absolutely wonderful and made us very welcome. She spoke a little English, and also used Google translate which meant there were no communication problems at all. The house is charming We enjoyed an excellent night's sleep on comfortable futons in a Tatami room overlooking the garden and a delicious breakfast (with a choice of continental or local cuisine). Would highly recommend!

Kaako was the kindest, thoughtfull person you could imagine, proud and eager to talk about her region, and willing to help you with everything you would need, hiking advice, transportation, etc... She is also an amazing cook, I had the best meals of my trip there ! Fully recommended if you love hiking, sightseeing, eating of course, and Koyasan is just 15 minutes by car. What else? The floor in the room has heating ! How great is that?

Good place for a stay near Koyasan. Kaako is very friendly, helpful and a great cook. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast. I totally recommend this place.

Kaako was a very welcoming and helpful host and her accommodation is beautiful, quiet and cosy, and her dinners and breakfasts delicious. I enjoyed going walking around the village and it is convenient to get to Koyasan.

Kaako was a wonderful host and cook. It was great to experience a Japanese home and home cooking on the coldest day of our trip! The futon was very comfortable and the surrounding area was beautiful.
