“Decepcionado”

The receptionist's attention was terrible, the location is terrible and in addition to the isolation that its location implies, they always cancel the activities they have "planned", extremely disappointing.

Selina offers a lot of free events in which locals and tourists attend, both for wellness and night life. The people in my mixed dorm were also very cool, a mix of ticos and internationals. The staff is super friendly, and helpful. The reception ppl are always willing to help, no matter the time. And the bar staff are super cool. The facilities they offer is also very cool, it feels like an adult playground, you have yoga shala/ workout room, two pools, a co-working space , a cinema room, pool table up at the bar. And a fully equipped kitchen

The facility is nice and large. The pool is great to lay out by, there is free yoga available, and you can use the area to workout in as well. The kitchen is large and easy to make your own meals, but there's a bar there as well to order food and drinks. It's a social hostel on the weekend, there are dj's and a lot going on.

One of the nicest Selina locations I have been to, really pretty, spacious, modern, bohemian. I was also over the moon happy when I saw they had pole classes as I really miss this when I am travelling! It was also really cute that in the welcome pack they give you vouchers and even a small palo santo stick - good vibes :)

The whole place is beautiful— the entrance, the restaurant, the rooms. It is a much nicer hotel than what we are used to. The rooms are larger than expected, and have a cozy comfortable feeling. The restaurant is good and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome.

“Bugs”

This review is just to say we got bed bugs after staying in a private room. We tried to speak with the hotel but it is quite tricky to prove and they denied it. They initially offered us $100 credit right off the bat but then retracted it as there was no proof and they felt it could be any bug. The front desk staff were actually kind but were unable to do anything or acknowledge it without support from their boss. My partner had it really badly & the bites were in the classic “breakfast, lunch and dinner” feeding pattern all over his body. It’s also really common for some people to react strongly to their bites & others to not react at all. This review is just to send caution/warn others before booking.

It's a great place if you are ready to put up with a party until 2am 😅
