“Idyllic Maldives island with beautiful warm turquoise water full of colourful tropical fish”

Summer islands was absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend. From our room we stepped directly out onto the white sandy beach and the water was only 20m away. It was so warm as well and there were lots of tropical fish in our bay and even more around the island + we saw black tipped reef sharks (including in our bay), a turtle further out at the reef & my new favourite, oriental sweetlips! The buffet was really good, with a large variety & the staff were lovely. We would love to visit again! Oh & we really liked our semi open air bathroom which made us feel even closer to nature & it was such a treat to see the resident heron on our sunrise walk each morning and even a spotted eagle ray one day. We really appreciated the complimentary snorkelling boat trip but if you prefer to stay nearby you’ll still see plenty (and much closer up) by snorkelling around the island. & a special mention to our kind waitress Somu. We hope to see you again! p.s. the boat transfer directly from the airport was really easy too & the massages were so good we went back for a second & much more reasonably priced than we expected, similar to what we pay back in UK

The staff paid close attention to all of our requests and always took them into consideration, which made our stay especially comfortable. Our bungalow was cleaned every day, and while we were away at dinner, we would return to find the bed beautifully prepared and turned down again — such a thoughtful and pleasant touch that made us feel truly cared for. The cuisine deserves special attention. While the menu is mainly inspired by Indian cuisine, every evening featured a different international theme. During our stay we experienced Mexican, French, and Italian nights — each day offered something new and exciting. All staff members speak English, are incredibly kind, friendly, and always welcoming. The island is indeed quite small — we could walk around it in about 20 minutes — but this did not affect our privacy at all. We had our own beach area near the bungalow where we could enjoy peace and seclusion. For a first Maldives experience, this place felt absolutely perfect, and we would gladly recommend it to everyone.

“Absolutely fantastic island with Amazing Staff”

We had an amazing time! The accommodation is comfortable, the quality and selection of food and drinks are first-class, and the island is well maintained. The staff are incredibly polite, whether at the Baraveli bar, Nevi, or Samuga. Everything is very well organized, from the airport transfer to the accommodation. At the end of each day, they send a consolidated 'GuestFolio' invoice of the consumption in PDF format. I did not expect this and think it's a great idea. The island's north-south orientation is ideal, as there are only 150 meters between the sunrise and sunset points. We are going back again next year with friends! <3

“An unforgettable experience: exceptional hospitality in a fabulous location”

In January, my boyfriend and I celebrated my 50th birthday on this wonderful island. Right from the start, we were really impressed because it was actually even more beautiful than the photos on the website. We stayed in a gorgeous Water Villa surrounded by turquoise water and immediately felt relaxed and far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We loved the atoll’s beauty and tranquillity, but we also enjoyed special events such as Beach BBQ, not to be missed! Wine & Cheese on the beach at sunset, with magnificent wines of a South African wine producer, it was absolutely stunning: with my feet in the water sipping one of the most interesting rose´ I’ve ever tasted! Sand & Stars Dinner, a truly romantic experience! A table on the beach and a gourmet menu under the stars: unforgettable, magical! Besides the wine & dine activities, we highly recommend the spa: lots of treatments in a very peaceful atmosphere. For all the wonderful experiences we’ve had and the memories which still stay so vivid in our mind, we’d like to thank all the lovely Summer Island Maldives staff who makes this Paradise possible, you’re all doing a great job! “For a memorable first time experience”

Amazing Atoll ,highly recommended for first timers to experience a beach resort and water villa in budget. Suitable for families. Turquoise waters especially around water villas were mesmerising.I wouldn't say a wide variety of spreads in buffet, but still good. Facilities were good. Infinity pool was good. Seamless check in /out process.

“Relax and enjoy.”

Beautiful beaches with some coral mixed in. Plenty of lounge beds. You are able to walk all the way around the island. Calm seas on my visit. Plenty of marine life for snorkelers to enjoy at the reef and off shore. Excellent Dive facility there with Robin and Natalia at the helm and Paul. Nothing is too much trouble, very friendly whether you are booking a trip, hiring snorkel or dive gear or enjoying a diving course. Very friendly and professional. Boat goes out every day, morning and afternoon, for snorkelers and scuba divers and Manta's are often seen by both. (Seasonal) The boat goes to dive sites that other islands dive shops do not go too and are well worth visiting, no others getting in your way or spooking the marine life. Usually aiming for an hour dive, depending on your skill mix. Plentiful marine life and in warm water. Hire gear is good quality and well maintained too. A huge variety of food and incredible staff at both restaurants. There are theme nights and buffet style in the main restaurant , eat as much as you want. So much choice. The bar, (next to the infinity pool,) has a pool table, library, TV, darts board and comfy chairs. Large bar area and ADI makes a fabulous Pina Colada I do have to say! All the staff are hard working and friendly/accomodating. Great place to watch the sunset. This island is an all sand island except for one restaurant and bar. Spa available. Nice gift shop. Reception staff are amazing, quietly getting on with their work and assisting you with everything, even telling you when the seaplanes are next visiting. Well worth a look and a photo. House keeping staff attend to your room twice daily changing bed linen and towels if required and leaving fresh beach towels every night. They provide bottles of water and tea/coffee and bathroom amenities too. Tamil and Raja were exceptional always leaving my room very clean and tidy.

Amazing resort and experience!

“A perfect, peaceful paradise with amazing snorkelling and wonderful staff.”

I had the most incredible stay at Summer Island Resort - truly paradise on earth. The island is absolutely pristine, beautifully maintained, and you can really see the care the staff put into keeping it spotless. The team was consistently professional, kind, and welcoming throughout my stay. My room was fantastic, with stunning views that I never got tired of. I could easily have stayed many more days! One of the highlights was the snorkelling - you can access multiple spots directly from the beach and see an amazing variety of fish, as well as sharks and stingrays. I also highly recommend taking advantage of the complimentary snorkelling trips offered by the resort. Despite how beautiful it is, the island never felt crowded, which made the experience even more relaxing. The views are breathtaking from every corner, and there’s something special about being barefoot all day, fully switching off. The room was cleaned twice daily, and I loved the outdoor bathroom - such a nice touch. Easy transfer from Male. I would 100% recommend this resort to anyone looking for peace, serenity, and a truly unforgettable escape.

Such an amazing place to chill and relax for a few days, facilities are exceptional and the views are unbelievable especially for sunset. Amazing house reef, great for snorkelling. Staff are very attentive and the room was very clean.

“A lovely stay in paradise”

We stayed 2 nights in a bungalow and then paid to upgrade to 2 nights in a water villa. Both were good to experience as the bungalow had a lovely little beach area that we probably wouldn’t have experienced if we only went for the water villa. The upgrade was also 100% worth it, the water villas are fantastic. We spotted so much sea life!! The whole island was beautiful with lots of wildlife, and the food was brilliant! The free water was also a bonus and plentiful! I have read on other islands that water is an extra expense. Cocktails were an average of 15USD but there was always some sort of daily promotion so worth asking the bar staff! Cocktails were excellent quality too so actually worth the price!! Daily snorkelling trip (needs to be booked the day before) is also very worth doing!!
