This family-run guest house in in Nordurfjördur village offers basic rooms in a converted barn, as well as modern self-service cottages. Krossnes Geothermal Pool is 1 km away. A well-equipped kitchen, private bathroom and private balcony with BBQ feature in all cottages at Urdartindur Guesthouse. Guest rooms have a seating area and private bathroom. Relaxation options include a balcony with fjord views. Fishing is possible by the shore. Shared BBQ facilities are also found on site. Everything was very clean and nicely prepared. Keys in the cabin on the table for easier check-in. The road from Holmavik is in a bit more difficult condition, but if you'll handle it, you'll find there nice accommodation. I would recommend it for sure :)

“Very pleasant experience”
The location is great. Good sized cottage, fully equipped. Clean and comfortable. We enjoyed listening to the sea surrounded by the snow. As it was forecast more snow the host gave us their phone number in case of need during travelling.

“Awesome stay nearby Krosseneslaug Hot Pool”
We arrived just in time to meet the host, who provided clear instructions (self check-in details were sent in advance). It was nice to connect with the host compared to others. The washing machine was a huge plus; we appreciated being able to do laundry by day 4. The location is beautiful, just a 10-minute drive to Krosseneslaug Hot Pool. Open view of the beautiful surrounding. Overall, it’s great value for a remote area.

This was my favourite location on a 10 night trip. The journey is long but worth it. I only wish I had an extra night here to stop, relax and enjoy the remoteness

“Stunning setting for the guesthouse in this remote part of Iceland.”
The room was modern with an ensuite that was quite small. The deck had uninterrupted views over the beach and mountains and we enjoyed this with a drink. The local pool is 5 minutes away and the restaurant which was very nice is just up the road.

This quite cottage is just in front of the fiord, with a nice view on it and on the green hills behind. The silence is amazing. And 5 minutes far from an amazing hot swimming pool in front of the ocean.
