Overview
Set 400 metres from the centre of Norcia, Il Casale San Martino is an adult-only property located 50 metres from a bicycle path and 200 metres from a public swimming pool. All rooms are en suite and come with wrought-iron beds. Parking is free. The rooms come with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TV. Each room features Arte Povera decorations with antique furniture. Breakfast includes homemade cakes and pies, together with tea and cappuccino. A daily menu is available at lunch at dinner, featuring Umbrian specialities at a partner restaurant, 1 km from the property. Il Casale is surrounded by its large garden, which is equipped with tables, parasols, and 2 porch swings. The property is immersed in the Sibillini Mountains National Park.

“Great views, good comfort”
Location is outside the village walls, but it actually makes for a better view of the hills surrounding Norcia. I was given a room different from the one advertised on the site, but I asked for a swap and got the one displayed on booking and it felt better despite being much smaller, attached is the view from its window. Shower toilet is quite adequate. The proprietor gave me the map for the hike to the nearest mountain, but the route is very well posted anyway. Do recommend the mountain hike to Monte Patino/Casteluccio - the views from the ridge to all four sides are fantastic the road to the top from Norcia is paved at least half the way up and very even given the terrain. Great food at Cantina 48 half a mile down the road

We stopped for just one night on our way to the lentil fields in Castelluccio and booked last minute—what a pleasant surprise! This place is truly a hidden gem. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, offering helpful tips on local food and routes. Breakfast was a highlight: not your typical buffet, but a served spread with fresh, local products brought right to the table. The room was clean, authentic. Wish we had stayed longer!

“A tranquil treasure”
A very lovely, quiet location and an unique experience. A short walk from Norcia historic centre. Direct buses to Cascia, Perugia, Assisi. Hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. My room was a good size with a nice bathroom. I liked the decor and bed linen.

Location is perfect to reach downtown by a 10” walk, and to enjoy a quiete green environment. Private parking for a motorbike is easy and seems safe

Alberto the host is a great gentleman. He took care of us, by indicating a very good restaurant 10 minutes walking distance and also provided gluten and lactose free items for breakfast. He also suggested us to visit Pian Grande di Castelluccio di Norcia, which was worthwile and definately shauld be visited, especially for motorclists.

Excellent place to stay. A very friendly welcome. More than enough to eat for breakfast. Brilliant location, only five minutes walk into Norcia. Would definitely stay here again.
