“Zee and Zo - Perfect place to enjoy tulips and the Netherlands”
My daughter and I stayed a week at Zee and Zo in mid-April visiting the Netherlands. Zee and Zo served as a perfect base to explore the Netherlands by car, from Zeeland to North Holland, Gelderland and many points in-between. The house is beautifully decorated and fully appointed with every convenience needed to feel right at home -- a large full kitchen/diner, laundry room, comfortable beds and generously sized living rooms. Zee and Zo also had easy street parking in front of the house which was much appreciated, especially after a long day on the road. Our gracious hosts, Han and later Erna, greeted us on our arrival and gave us the grand tour of the house and garden. Since they lived nearby, Han was able to explain again, some of the unique features of modern European kitchen appliances. An extra bonus for garden enthusiasts is that Zee and Zo is located in Noordwijk, the starting point for the annual Flower Parade and a mere 15 minutes away by car from the spectacular Keukenhof garden in Lisse. White sandy beaches and the historic city of Leiden are also close to Noordwijk and accessible by bike and bus respectively. If you want to spend quality time in the Netherlands, skip Amsterdam and stay in the heartland of flower bulb fields at Zee and Zo. This beautiful home could not be improved upon and exceeded our expectations for a house rental. “Great big house and fantastic hosts.”
Erna and Han met us to walk through everything and are very nice and happy to help with anything. The house is very big, has all you could need, especially in the kitchen and in a great location to easily cycle to everywhere. We cycled the tulip fields, to Keukenhof Gardens, ESA - Space Expo and the beach. There is a bus stop is very close so can grab that if you don't want to cycle or walk. The supermarket is 5min walk away too. We where very happy with the house and how much there was to do around the area that we didn't expect, so much so we may have to come back.
