Boasting indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and a waterside Japanese garden, Matsusaki is a 20-minute drive from JR Matsuto Train Station. The traditional rooms offer nature views, an LCD satellite TV and free wired internet. Guests can make use of the reserved shuttle from JR Komatsu and Matto Stations for free. Guests at Matsusaki Ryokan sleep in Japanese futon beds on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. A fridge, slippers and hairdryer are provided. All rooms are air-conditioned and include an en suite bath with amenities. The ryokan is a 20-minute drive from JR Komatsu Train Station and offers free on-site parking. A free shuttle is available to and from Komatsu Airport, a 25-minute drive away. Ishikawa Zoo is just a 5-minute drive. You can unwind at the sauna. Japanese cuisine is served at the dining room for breakfast, and a multi-course Kaiseki meal is offered for dinner.

“Perfect experience for a Japan trip”
Very friendly staff accommodating your stay. The hotel has multiple baths to soak in as well as offering a relaxing atmosphere. The shuttle service makes it easy to reach the hotel and take the train to your next destination. The times are perfectly aligned with the train schedule. The diner is elaborate and very good. The breakfast also does not fall short. I suggest arriving on time to have time to enjoy soaking in the baths around the diner and breakfast.

“Very nice traditional ryokan experience”
Private onsen in the room. Beautiful building, garden, and room. Very complete and generous meals. Good services provided, we did the aroma therapy and it was great. Our main staff, Natalie, was very kind and helpful. She took the time to explain things to us and helped us with everything.

The old fashioned Japanese Inn was delightful. With tatami mats, private onsen and kaiseki dinner and breakfast., we had a lovely relaxing experience. Loved the massage chair too.

“Relaxing experience”
The food was delicious, breakfast and dinner. Both Japanese kaiseki style. Shuttle bus from Matto and Komatsu station made access very convenient. English staff were also available (thank you Nathalie) and we were even greeted by the owner. Truly wonderful.

“If you want to experience a traditional Japanese Ryokan while in the Ishikawa area this is the one.”
Exceptional Ishikawa Ryokan We wanted a break from the hotels that we normally stayed at. We are glad we choose the Matsusaki as our stop over between cities. Natalie was our exceptional hostess during our stay and look after all our needs and explained what to expect. We can recommend a traditional room with private bath. The Japanese set course for dinner and breakfast was excellent with the presentation of local products. The garden is relaxing to wander through before dinner. The provided shuttle service, both pick up and return to two different stations is a very nice feature given Matsusaki’s location. If you want to experience a traditional Japanese Ryokan while in the Ishikawa area this is the one.

“Ultimate relaxation”
Matsukaki is a charming onsen/ryokan with a distinctive character of its own. The food is superb and the private onsen a real luxury. All members of staff, especially Natalie, do all they can to make guess welcome and comfortable.

“Unforgettable Honeymoon at a Traditional Ryokan with Private Onsen”
This was our first traditional ryokan experience during our honeymoon, and we loved every moment of our stay. Everything is thoughtfully arranged for you, from the pick-up at Matto Station to meals, drinks, and clothing. All you need to do is relax and enjoy your time. We stayed in a traditional room with a private open-air onsen, which was my favorite part. The dinner was amazing. I understand that some dishes might not be for everyone, but I loved every single one. I’m a foodie and enjoy exploring different flavors, and this was truly a highlight for me. For breakfast, I chose the western option and my husband had the Japanese option, and both were incredibly delicious. The surroundings are beautiful and calming. After our stay in Tokyo and a hike up Mount Fuji, this was exactly what we needed. Our host was lovely, originally from Spain but having lived in Japan for a long time, she speaks fluent Japanese and English very well. The rest of the staff were professional and kind too. Since it was our honeymoon, they even gifted us a beautiful Kutani ceramic tea cup, which was incredibly thoughtful. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and will definitely come back!

“Traditional experience”
A very traditional experience. We stayed in the older part of the hotel to have the use of a private open air bath. It was nice to experience the traditional room, the meal served within the room and to have free use of a private bath. The room was comfortable and we slept well. Staff were very helpful, especially Natalie, our host.

“A very relaxing and authentic Japanese experience.”
Location, staff - attentive but not intrusive, courtesy pick up from train station, authenticity of the hotel, food was spectacularly served in the room. The welcome by the staff upon arrival felt like I was in the White Lotus tv show. The hotel had a very calm and relaxing quality to it. The reception views over the small pond and garden were lovely. We didn't use the public onsen as we had a private one. The traditional robe and pyjamas were a lot of fun. This was very convenient and worthwhile when you are not used to bathing naked in public.

The hospitality was amazing. From the shuttle that met us at the train station, to Natalie explaining all different courses of kaiseki, to the owners welcoming us. We really appreciated the tranquility the room offered. We had a great view of the garden from our balcony. The private onsen was the icing on the cake. It was the most relaxing thing, we used it 4 times during our one day stay. All in all, I was looking for a traditional Japanese experience and Matsusaki did not disappoint.

Everything was excellent from the shuttle meeting our train at Matto station to tranquility of the ryokan. Purposely booked stay for traditional Japanese experience and not disappointed. Facilities, our room including private covered outdoor onsen and private dining were wonderful.
